@Vi: I can't find the group anymore. I'm starting to think that I maybe didn't read it right and just saw the word 'peruvian' but it wasn't a mommy group. I'm sorry. BUT...there's 27 pages of meetups for your zipcode so I would definetely try to find a group.

@Anna: Wow...snow. It's 60 degrees here and it is so nice. I'm glad it's not as hot anymore but tomorrow they say temps are going up to 79 degrees again...bah...I hate the heat. You won't even find a snowbib or boots here. Boots are just for show, they are not very functional so I guess I'll get that stuff when we're in Germany in December. Doesn't make much sense here anyway.

@Anna: sounds like winter in upstate NY... about the diaper changes- I meant to post it a while ago, I totally forgot, but we found the ultimate solution to our diaper-desasters. A wipe warmer. I never thought I was going to be that high-tech, but I was at Babies R Us the other day looking at them to buy as a shower gift and they are only $25 so I thought what the heck and bought one for us too. Ben always used to complain "cold" when I wiped him and then proceed to throw a fit. I plugged it in and never had one bad diaper change since. I use the warm wipes to wipe his hands and face and he tolerates that much better too now.

Now we really wish we would have gotten this thing sooner, it would have safed us much hassle...

ps- when you buy a snow shovel, get 2, because one will either break or end up missing anyways haha. It's like Newtons law... haha. Or better- get a snow blower if you have a large driveway

HLM, where have you been? Did you have the baby yet!?

Me, I'm still "hanging in there"!

I did!! :) exactly on that day Oct. 9th! I saw blood in panties on thursday the 8th and no other signs of labor to I went to the hospital to check and found out the placenta is kind of detached and the baby';s heartrate keeps going down and up...so they monitored me for awhile and saw that theres a risk, that we dont know how much reserve does the placenta have so the Dr. told me we would have to induce and that's what we did. 21 hours later he was here :) I was a trooper no drugs till 6.5-7cm but then I chose epidural becoz I knew this was as much as I can handle actually. I didn't feel anything at all even when he poped out I only had to push 4 times hehehe he is so tiny! 5lbs 6ounces 19" but healthy and well thank God. Right now I'm recovering from my stitches down there very swollen and practically one hour of sleep for the past 3 days! He also had jaundice but its decreasing and the Dr. is not concerned. All in all this has been a wondeful experience and so worth it :D

Jenn its officially your turn! :P

ETA: We named our baby Zaine and hopefully I will post a picture as soon as I can.

Awww poor Ben. Such a big boy though :)!

Congrats HLM. Can't wait to see Zaine pics.

It SNOWED here this morning. Argh. I bought Declan a winter coat over the weekend at the outlets that are about 45 minutes away, but when I got it home, decided it didn't seem warm enough. So I was going to return it this weekend and get a different one since I didn't think I would need a winter coat THIS INSTANT!!! I am running to WalMart and TJ Maxx this evening to pick up some mittens, hats. I guess I might need to buy boots too. I was trying to wait until later in the season so I didn't have to buy a pair and then have to buy another one in a month when Declan's feet grow. Oh well :)
