@ Jenn: Don't worry about it. Do you have a birth plan?

Thanks, Anna, and everyone for sharing your birthing experiences. Everyone's stories do help me sort out what choices I'd like to make for myself. I like to have an idea of all the potential courses labor could take and how I want to deal with them should they happen. Of course, the way it will really happen will be something I've never anticipated - Murphy's Law, right?

I haven't written a birth plan yet, but I'm set to discuss it at my next OB appointment, so I need to work on formalizing all the ideas and preferences I currently have in my head.

so Ladies after all the ravings- I bought Ben a few Carters pajamas today. They are sooooo cute. I really hope they stay nice. I still paid $12 for one pair. I think that's still a bit much, but oh well. I like that their 24 months sizes are rather big. Is it just me or do you guys find it hard to buy toddler jammies too? I mean the footsies, because Ben gets cold feet at night.

Kelly: Zaid is sooo handsome. I love his eyes!

caybee: good luck going back to work! I agree, if you have established a good latch, there shouldn't be a big problem with the interruption.

Stef, we buy all the footy Carters jammies from our local Once Upon A Child or at Penneys when they are 2/20$. We also buy 24mos because they had room to grow, however, Zaids toes are ready to poke holes in them now so I think we need to go to 2t. Sofyan insists he wears them bc like Ben, Zaids feet are like ice cubes at night and he will not keep socks on. Thanks for the compliment. Zaid did get blessed with some pretty blue eyes, sadly, im confident they will turn green in the next year or two. Sof and I both had blue eyes, (mine are more blue/green) as babies and they turned green as we got older. I am starting to see green specks in his.

Jenn. Its good to see your getting prepared. L&D can be such a scary thing. I went into labor telling myself I would be fine bc I have a high threshold for pain but I was also very adament about wanting pain meds. I was fine, thankfully, and labored to 8cm before I got the epi, then the epi didnt work, so they took it out and gave me another one. That one also didnt work and it was time to push. I pushed 2 + hours without pain meds (zaid was posterior to the right and was HUGE) and FINALLY with the help of an episiotomy he was born. They did give me local anastetic when they "repaired" me and with the help of some tylenol with codeine, I healed fine. The funny thing is, you really forget how bad it is. If someone asked me today what a contraction felt like, no words come to mind. I will add that once a women told me she was traumatized from labor and refused to have more kids bc of the pain, I told myself maybe that was a sign that she was not meant to have more :)

Thanks for all the back-to-work/bf advice. My husband will be home with him, and he is confident that he'll have no trouble comforting him (Rayan does respond very well to him), but my parents will be standing by just in case he needs a hand.

I've been using glass Evenflo bottles, and he does pretty well with those, but I'm wondering if anyone would recommend a different bottle/nipple? I got the glass way back when plastic was such a concern, but our bottle warmer warns against using glass in it, so I'm thinking of getting a couple different ones in case he needs to try more than one kind.

It's 2.02am and everybody is sleeping, I have sometime for myself, finally, Hubby is complaining that we should got bed together but I really wait the whole day to 12am so I can just read, watch tv and have sometime for me, I REALLY NEED IT!!

I love Carter's clothes, they are pretty good and the price is nos bad at all. Girls I checked some Garanimals, did I spell it right? are they good? my mom is sending some sweat pants for Sofia, she will need them specially now that she wil start crawling  . BTW my baby is 6 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Caybee@ I don't think that you will have problems leaving the little one for a few hours. The other night Sofia slept for 12 hours and I was a little uncomfortable but that was it, I'm sure everything will be fine. I still breasfeeding and still have lots o milk, it's so funny to see Sofia pasted to me like a little monkey, she loves it. I don't know If I ever mention this before but my SIL has a 3 year old and she still breastfeeding, can you believe that? and she is not potty trained either  and she still not have a schedule to go to sleep, sometimes she doesn't sleep the whole night, my SIL is crazy so that never surprised me.

Jenn@ Your are next! and take it easy, I'm reading some comments from the other mommies and as some of them said, don't plan to much 'cause sometimes things don't work as we planned it. Look at me, my baby came 6 weeks early, I missed two baby showers, things weren;t completely ready, my mom had to change her tkt from Peru, she came a day after the baby was born and Sofia had to stay fro 13 long days at the hospital =(, crazy, crazy, crazy

I liked the drop ins on the few occasions that we used bottles. It's more waste though but less to clean and there were no leaks. I would definitely look for BPA/PVC free. I did not like Medela and Born Free, these bottles leaked all over the place. I am actually surprised that your bottle warmer advises not to use glass bottles. I don't see a reason for that.

thanks for the pajama tips!

@Karima: I looked at the pajamas that snap together, but I was worried that he will be uncomfortable laying on the buttons because they snap in the back and on the sides. Any problems with that?

Ben is getting a new round of teeth, I see 5 teeth shining through and he had a bad night again. I can't wait until he's done teething!!!!

So far, I have not seen any problems. With Ayman, the snaps usually fall right on top of his diaper, so I don't think he feels anything. We have both footed long sleeve and non-footed short sleeve PJs that snap together and we love them. I have some of the teeny tiny snug shorts with tops and like them too, but only when it's hot.

Ayman seems to be taking his sweet time with getting teeth. He now finally has 4 teeth (2 top, 2 bottom- took 7 months to completely pop thru), but I noticed he is getting teeth all the way in the back before the rest in the front. He has 2 teeth all the way in the back on the top starting to poke through. This seems so out of order?! He's been drooling and mega cranky on an off. At this rate, I feel he's going to be teething well into college.

Lol Carrie!! There are alot of kids I see who get their teeth out of order. Zaid got the front 8, then 4 back molars, now the inscicors are filling in. My niece has two on the bottom and her top molars and thats it, so they can def come in any random order. I have been told the later the teeth the healthier they are so hopefully ayman has some pearly white healthy chompers :)

Stef, Zaid also has like 5-6 peeping through. He is taking it quite well thankfully. I think for Zaid the weeks and weeks of swollen gums is worse than the teeth actually cutting thru. Just think only a year of teething left! lol. Dont most kids have all of em by 2.5 years?

I love the Carter's snap pajamas too. My two are long and the fact you can adjust to either set of snaps is a definite plus. I usually buy whatever I find on clearance. I got a whole bunch of pjs at Penney's (carters) for $2-4 a pair. Considering I have to buy twice the amount, I am always looking for a sale. I just Hana a bunch at the Carter's outlet for $3 / pair in the next size up. Now...I am on the lookout for some for the Zak man. I also like the gymboree pj's as they tend to be made for thinner babies.
