thanks girls for all the kind comments on Ben's poop situation... This week was an up and down, but I think we are finally figuring out the right amount and time for his laxatives, and he needs way less then what the doctors recommended. I called a few other GI doctors in our area but they don't have openings until January. we will see. I really really hope that it is nothing serious or that they are overlooking a serious condition. He is so happy most of the time and he started sleeping 4-5 hour stretches now that his molars came through.

Caro@ I read somewhere that being "close" to hubby (you know what I mean) helps.

LOL you are funny! But I think it is true. wink wink. Caro I hope you don't have to wait much longer, the last days are the worst. I think Eveline went to 42 weeks with both kids. Just be patient and try to rest. good luck!!

@clothes: we buy most of Ben's clothes at Baby Gap (now toddler sizes), Gymboree and Oshkosh. They are a little more expensive but they always have a sales rack where I got the best deals (onesies from $3 and up, pants from $8 and up).

I find it hard to find cute clothes for boys at target or walmart and the quality is not as good. Also if you have a TJMaxx or Marshalls nearby- they have Polo, Levi's, Calvin, etc for a lot less.

My mom bought Ben a $40 Levi's jeans in the city and I saw almost the exact same jeans at TJMaxx for $10. He now wears levi's everyday. haha.

I am buying 2T or 24 months clothes for Ben and just fold the sleeves/pants up and they will last longer.

@Halloween: no costumes yet... He was a pumpkin last year, I was thinking maybe a monkey or something like that this year. It's fun to pick out a costume because he doesn't care yet. I can make him wear whatever I want before he wants to be a power ranger every year.

My friends' 2 year old son loves Dora the Explorer and all he wanted to be for Halloween was Dora, lol. So we dressed him up as Mickey Mouse and told him he was such a pretty Dora and he believed it and was so happy.

Zaid is going to be a frog or a dinosaur for halloween, havent decided yet.

Twila, I love Once Upon A Child. Most of Zaids clothes are from there. I get lucky bc most of the time i find outfits still with the tags on

 that's awesome! I like the frog idea!

do you sell clothes at once upon a child? I think there is a store in CT (which is close). Do I have to make an appointment or just bring all the baby stuff? I have so many things I want to get rid off (Bumbo, stroller, bathtub, clothes, shoes, toys...) I need room!! :P

I only buy Walmart or Jc Penny. Adam can ruin a shirt within minutes. He's always dirty so buying expensive clothes isn't worth it. they won't last a week with us. I have a bunch of handmedowns that he can ruin now.

As for Halloween. Adam and Allie are going to be Hansel and Gretel. I got Allie's dress and I"ll make her an apron for it. Adam has little lederhosen and he'll get legwarmers all 'baravian style'. They gonna be so cute.

Has anyone had that pelvic joint pain weeks after delivery? Mine went away almost immediately afterward, but now, five weeks out, it's back. It's not as bad as it was at the end of pregnancy, but it sure makes it difficult to stand up from the sofa, step into the shower, and so on, especially after I've been sitting for a while. I guess the few days of almost no pain at all makes me forget that I'm still recovering a little.

Carol Anne: Are you sure that it is pelvic joint pain? I was having quite a bit of discomfort 3-4 months after the c-section. My ob/gyn sent me for a transvaginal u/s to make sure there was nothing abnormal going on. It took me a while to figure out the cause. I was getting up from a certain chair in our livingroom with a baby and it was throwing off my usual center of gravity and pulling on the healing muscles. Once I put the baby down before I got up, it got a chance to heal and I have been fine since. Just a thought!

AFU: Hana is going to be a flower and Zak a dragon for Halloween. I am excited to take them out treat-or-treating with a few of my friends who have kids under 2. :)

Stef, yes Once Upon a Child buys clothes and equipment, but only if they are in mint condition and within the past year of style. Are you not planning on having more kids? We have over 15 plastic storage containers of clothes in our attic as well as the swing, bouncer, bathtub, jumper, etc. Were not planning on kids soon but I would hate to buy everything again. Especially if we get lucky and have another boy.

Thanks Ev for the reminder, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jcpenney. They carry the Carters Line and have nice inexpensive jeans for Zaid. Their saturday doorbuster deals are to die for. I also get most of Zaids shoes there as well. I really dont care for alot of the gymboree and gap stuff for boys, Some of it is adorable but the stuff i end up loving is 50$ for an outfit, NO THANKS! And I second the play stuff. ANY hand me downs I get are used for backyard play and day care. We get muddy knees EVERYDAY! LOL.

Zaids hitting is getting worse. He hits or threatens to hit anytime he doesnt get his way. We have him in time out everyday and he totally knows he is wrong, but wont stop. He is going to be a beast in the next few months, I can just feel it. His favorite response to everything is "NO NO NO" Boy oh Boy I thought newborns were tough lol

I wish next time we have another girl, we have so much stuff it's insane and we were lucky enough we didn't have to buy clothes for Sofia this time, my parents brought so much clothes from Peru plus the ones that we got here as gifts  it's crazy.

Before she was born I got a few outfits from Old navy and Gap, got shoes for $1.99, onesies for $2.00, I didn't spend more than $5, great deals.

Oh Oh the Queen is waking up, gotta go ladies.

Caro!!! are you there??

Kel - Declan has started hitting too. It is driving me crazy, especially because it seems to be in play. I've been wracking my brain, trying all different kinds of parenting things ... and then hubby told me yesterday, "Oh, I read online that maybe Declan is hitting because I play aggressively with him and he can't tell the difference". AAAHHH!!!! He has stopped doing that and we are trying to stop the hitting. Any tips? I'm hoping with Ron being gentler in play, it will decrease the hitting.

I would love for Declan to be a monkey for Halloween, as I call him my little monkey, but I haven't started looking for costumes yet.

With Ron starting school, life has been hella crazy here. Hoping to get into a better routine soon as he get accustomed to it.

Stef - Did you at least make an appt. for Jan. for the doctor for a second opinion?

I don't think I can even get a newborn onesie over Rayan's head anymore  The outfit he wore for his hospital photo was way to big for him at the time, and it was tight on him when he wore it yesterday. Hubby keeps talking about his "muscles." Those ain't muscles ;)

It's been warm today and we've been wondering if the heat was contributing to his gas discomfort, so he's been shirtless most of the day, and he seems a little more comfortable. He's sleeping in his swing now, wearing just a diaper and with a light receiving blanket draped over him from the chest down. If he isn't warm enough, will he let me know by shivering or crying or something?

Twila, it feels exactly like the pelvic joint pain felt before the birth, but not quite as bad. I'd read about adhesions, but I don't think it's that. What you're saying makes sense, though -- Rayan has gained so much weight, and I usually stand up while holding him, and it's all I can do to get upright. I have lower back pain also, which I'm sure is from carrying him. I would have asked the doctor the other day, but it wasn't bothering me then. I'll try go easier on the lifting and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm fully cleared for exercise, and the right ones are bound to help as well.
