Chrissy, I read your 26 inches and thought, NO WAY! LOL. My Zaid must be really tall for his age then bc he is 35.5 inches at 15 months. Maybe I have a lil basketball player on my hands? lol Glad to see the kids are growing great! Cant believe Molly is that big already!!!

Is anyone elses toddler hitting? Zaid had 6 timeouts yesterday! the little beast totally knows its wrong to hit bc he will hit me, then smile and hug and kiss me, He HATES timeout so im hoping the hitting stops quick. He is a total bully at daycare...

How about your 7 month old hitting? Zak does it quite often. Hicham and I have both been telling him no. He especially will do it when he is mad. That little boy may be quite a character and so handsome, but he has a TEMPER.

Jona doesn't hit, but he bites. We say no and that biting is an AUA. It takes time to understand, he's only one and that is sort of too young to put one and one together. We follow gentle strategies as proposed by Dr. Sears' baby book. It works for us... Even DH's abuelita says that kids Jona's age are too young to understand and it takes time, and she's from an era of spanking parents (she admitted spanking never worked and just made her feel bad, but that's what people told you to do back then). So we just move away and say no. I'm sure he'll understand at some point.

He says mama now though :) It is soooooooooo cute!

We had our appointment yesterday, Sebas turned - He is now OA :)

He's still moving around and until he drops, he will continue to move, so we just have to encourage him to stay in that good position now

I'm 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced. Not that it means anything, but oh well :P

Saludos,

Caro

Don't your doctors have a different due date than you do? I think I recalled that. He'll probably not wait for 3+ weeks...I wouldn't be surprised if he came sooner. 1cm dilated and 60% effaced seems like things are moving in the right direction, no? That's what I was 3 days before Enzo was born. :star::whistle:

Every woman is different. I walked around at 5cm but only 25% effaced for at least one week and nothing happened. It's good to see that you are showing signs of dilation I guess you are going in the right direction. Also good that he turned. Good luck for the last 4 (or 6) weeks.

Thanks everybody. I'm trying to stay calm, take it one step at a time and just let things happen. I'm just happy he turned, now I'm hoping he'll drop sometime soon. I know you can be 3cm dilated and be like that for weeks, and be 0 dilated and have the baby the next day, so I'm not even going to think about that :star:

@Eveline: It's more like 0-5 weeks (they don't want me to get to 42 weeks, 41 1/2 weeks is the deadline :) )

Saludos,

Caro

Oh wow..I had goosebumps reading that story. Very touching. Reminds me of Marylins little babies.

What a beautiful story - but I feel bad for the woman who couldn't do skin to skin and lost her baby and now she's torn up over the what-ifs. Aside from that, my boss had 22 week old twins that survived. They are now 23 years old and amazing.

I don't know if any of you have heard of the Stansel Sextuplets. The mom had the babies at the beginning of August at 23 weeks I believe. Three of them have passed and the three that are surviving are going to have challenges. I have been following their blog and twitter posts. I am amazed by the number of people who have posted who have micro-preemies who have survived.

I just feel blessed to have had doctors who really watched me and got me to a point to be able to deliver two healthy babies!

AFU: We had a major milestone this weekend! Saturday evening Hana scooted over to me and started kicking me in the leg. I look down and she has her hands up saying "mamamamamama". When I picked her up, she stopped. Her first word was "Mama"! :)

Wife and I babysat our ten month old granddaughter, was really impressed with a Play N' Pack that was dropped off.

pack-n-play-playpen-big.jpg

Took very little trunk space and was well padded and was very comfortable for her for sleepy time with a fitted comforter. She at the age now where she can crawl across the room like a bullet and can stand herself up to get in the darnest places, was nice to set her in there for a few minutes if you had to use the rest room, or take a couple of minutes to make a meal.

Can't say the same about car seats, only had one rear safety belt that would securely hold her seat in the back, and that thing had more straps and clips you can shake a stick at. Was tempted to bring along a sharp pair of cutting shears in case I had to remove her quickly, but drove extremely carefully watching out of idiots that love to pull out in front of you. But did practice quickly releasing the vehicle's safety belt and pulling out the entire car seat. Think the present idiots are not thinking about stuff like this, read about babies being burnt alive because the parents couldn't get them out quick enough.

We got her home in one piece safely last night, but were exhausted, more so than taking a 40 mile bike trip or all day kayaking. Our kids needed a break, but we also had a lot of fun with her. Looking forward to next weekend. She is far more interested in anything in our home except baby toys.

Yep, Pack n Plays are lifesavers at that crawling stage. We have 3. Altho, they dont get much use now a days. Zaid has one at day care for naps but hes almost too big for it now. The other 2 are packed in his closet.

Zaid is hitting milestones day by day. his vocab astounds me (he can say im full, im done, more please, etc) finally putting 2-3 words together, and his comprehension is outstanding. He grabbed a kleenex today and I told him to blow his nose and he did just that. Im surprised he even knew how to blow out, most kids suck in thinking they are blowing. lol. He is identifying eyes, nose, mouth, toes, hands, and belly button, and..his "doodle" lol, ya'll know what that is. He spends hours everyday trying to put his own shoes and is surely independant. He points out pics of his "umpa" (grandpa) and his uncle joe, mommy and daddy. Im so proud of my lil boy. He is really growing up so fast :(
