We are going to have a big 2family garage sale in September, maybe one before that already. We'll see. Our shed is stuffed with babystuff. The jumperoo I sold on craigslist but the rest I'll keep for the garage sale. I LOVE garage sales...so much fun.

Allie got her tubes in today. Poor little thing. She cried so much when she came back out. I don't even know what to do with her when she cries because she hardly ever cries so I'm clueless when it comes to that :). The nurses didn't want to let me go first because Allie was just not able to calm down but I told them that she was tired and wanted to be alone. She kept pushing off of me, wanting to lay down. She's not a baby that sleeps on you or just falls alseep on your bellly. She just wanted to be alone, in her carseat with her thumb in her mouth. Eventually we were able to go. She apparently had an ear infection  in her right ear and plenty of gunk and mucous in the left one. Gross. I hope it's gonna drain and we don't have to bother with it no more. I'm so done with ear infections.

@Vi: Good luck with the cereal :star:

Cool, good info about the early HCG levels. Our first U/S was at 7w 2d and it said the baby measured a week bigger, but once again we are sure of the conception date.

I hope he ends up being a 7 pounder :help:

Saludos,

Caro

7 pounds? that's not a keeper, better throw it back in and let it grow some more :jest:

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO :crying:

Saludos,

Caro

@Eveline: Sorry about Molly's ear infection. Hope she feels better!

Awww you are cute. Thank you. I know you meant Allie and you are excused because you are pregnant and have placenta brains.

@Vi: Is Sofia really spitting the cereal out or is she pushing it forward with her tongue. She might still have the tongue reflex which means that she is totally not ready for cereals yet. Only time will help. Why do you want to feed her cereal already? Is she crying a lot out of hunger? If there's no reason, except for the doc who told you to feed her, I'd wait. I'm not trying to come off as a 'knowitall' but I just think that she is too young to be eating solids yet. Do you have to hold her on your lap and tilt her back so something stays in or can she sit in a highchair already? There are several signs of readiness and if baby can't sit up or spits stuff back out, it might just be too early. Good luck mama.

Quick note from here in the motherland. Flight was no more uncomfortable than any other cattle class flight, Henry slept and fed all the way here. Grandparents are spoiling him rotten. Going out today to meet the rest of the family so its pass the parcel with the baby time. Hope all the baby's are doing well. Chrissy you must be so proud, theose eyes are gorgeous!

Vi - I think the recommendations are BM exclusive for 6 months then cereal after 6 months, no need to add cereal unless baby has bad reflux. Henry is 4 months and we will not add cereal until 6 months especially since DH has a gluten and wheat allergy..

My MIL has given Enzo sips of OJ to get him to have a bm because of his soy formula. She also gives him tastes of pureed apple and even a pinch of yogurt. I said that soy formula was good enough for now, but all I hear is how this is done in Argentina. So, the boy is happy and healthy and I'll let it go. The only thing I put my foot down on was when she said we needed to give him honey and I said, "Oh hell no!". We're all cool now.

My MIL gives Adam diet coke. She doesn't do it when I'm there but I know that she does when I'm not there. I don't freak out about it, as it probably won't kill him. He only takes sips of it, doesn't get a whole can. I don't feel good about it and now she buys the kool aid in plastic bottles. I'd rather give him that than the coke, even though I would never in a million years have that stuff in my fridge, ever. But that's why she is granny and grannie's are for spoiling so she can spoil him, but at home, he won't get any of the 'good stuff' he can have at granny's house.

@Chrissy: omg she is such a cutie. And you couldn't have chosen a better name for her with her big eyes. she is so adorable!

@Missbollinger: glad to hear you had a good flight, enjoy your trip! we will be heading to Germany in less than 2 weeks!!

I agree, grandmas are there for spoiling, and I am fine with it, I just want to know what she is giving my kid before she does it. I don't want him to not ever have candy/ice cream/coke but he should be a little older then 1. He doesn't know what it is right now, to him carrots and broccoli taste like a treat.

so, Ben has been going pee-pee on his potty twice today! He's been announcing it for a few weeks, whenever he has to go, so we figured to give it a try, and he kind of does it on command, every time we remove his diaper. He even went poo 2 days ago. I really really hope that it's going to be easy to pottytrain him.
