It's just a phase with the biting. that doesn't mean not to do anything for it but they will stop eventually. Jona will never bite his own arm because that hurts and biting you doesn't hurt (him) . I did the same thing with Adam, I just told him "NO" and he didn't understand but I guess he got that mama was mad.

About the hitting. Believe me, I feel bad. I know it is wrong. I got spanked when I was a kid and I thought that it was awful. You just don't do that. Adam sometimes drives me to the brink of sanity and I know that spanking is not the right route to go.

We are back from our Drs. appointment, everything went great, he said that Sofia is doing wonderful  ,she is 24 inches long, weights 12.10,that means she gained 6 pounds in the past 2 months. I asked about what the trip to Peru next January and he thinks that is a great idea,to escape from the winter, I wish my hubby was there to hear it from the Dr.'s mouth but I made sure to ask in front of mi MIL and I know for sure that she will tell my hubby. She got 3 shots today, poor baby the first two were fine, the last one made her SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! right she is sleeping in her crib,I'm sure she will be cranky later  .

i don't use the walking wings for the same purpose that one would use a leash/harness thing. they're just for working on her balance and trying out/practicing moving around on her feet. so she gets some walking practice, without as many bumps and falls. i used this thing called a kinder kord which is like a wrist to wrist connector on my older son when he was little and we went to disney world. but for trips to the grocery store or the mall or something, i didn't really find it necessary.

ayah went through a brief biting stage when she was nursing, and it was not fun at all. i'm so glad we got through it though and didn't have to quit. i took her to the lactation clinic and they gave me some tips to make her stop, and she hasn't done it since.

I just tried the YoBaby yogurt with Hana and Zak this morning. OMG...they LOVED it! I, too, got it at Walmart. They also tried Baby Mum-Mum Rice Rusks yesterday. I found them at Walmart as well. They come packaged in groups of two inside the box, for a total of 24 "crackers". Considering my two HATE cereal, I thought it might be a good way to get them to eat some grains, mash on something with their gums, and practice self-feeding. They did wonderfully! They were so-so on the taste (I tried it, it wasn't too bad). The crackers pretty much turn to mush once they come in contact with your saliva, so I wasn't worried about them choking. Zak got the hang of holding on to it himself and sticking it in his mouth pretty quickly. Hana just wanted to enjoy it and wanted Mom to hold it.

Vi - did you give her some baby Tylenol? That should help her get through today and tomorrow. Enzo needed it for two days because he was suffering from his vaccinations.

the way we go through yogurt in our house, i don't even bother with little yobaby cups. i buy the big tub of nancy's yogurt, or when we want maple yogurt, i get the big tub of brown cow or straus family. everyone in the house loves it!

Zaid loves Yo Baby but i learned and now just buy the big tub, lasts longer and cost efficient. Zaid loves just about anything, This morning he ate 2 gingerbread pancakes and 5 strawberries. He hardly weighs 23 lbs and is 35 inches tall. He is going to have the nice fast metabolism (poops 3-4 times a day) that seems to be running in sofyans family. all his bros and sisters are 5'10-6'4 and eat like horses, and all have some of the smallest waists I have ever seen.

I get the big tub vanilla yoghurt from Danone for me and the yobaby for snacks for the kids. They love their yoghurt.

Adam is barely even 37 inches tall but weighs in at around 35lbs so he is a short little chunker

We are required by law to walk our dogs with a leash, no such law exists for toddlers. Seen those kid leashes, with six kids, I would never use them, would carry the kid or hold their hands while walking. At three years of age, hard to keep up with them.

Our granddaughter sure loves that Fisher-Price stroller, grandma and me took turns guiding her for about two hours, she is eight months old now, swear she is going to learn how to walk before she learns how to crawl. She found that button on the teddy bear on her own to play music. Not so sure she likes that gate I put up, but will probably learn how to unlock it. Kids are so much better at opening childproof lids than adults.

While on the same subject, wonder about locking up kids in a car baby sit, they quickly learn to fall asleep. The kids by law I had to lock up, fell asleep behind the wheel when I was teaching them how to drive. I hauled a baby bike trailer from one son to another, newest granddaughter fell asleep in it after going just 100 feet. When my kids were babies, had a special seat on my bike that fit on the handle bars, so we were face to face, they stayed awake and enjoyed the ride. But I haven't seen those around lately, must be illegal now. Even carried a 6 month old in the front and a 3 year old on the rear of my bike. Biking long distances became a way of life for all them, all in good shape now.

Have to admit that after a couple of hours, get kind of tired with my granddaughter, but is fun, her parents flopped down on the sofa while we were there and took a well deserved break.

We have our 6 month appt on Tuesday and I am curious to see what the babies are measuring now. Hana is really thinning out. That girl is ALL arms and legs. I call her spidey-girl now. She is really active too. I wonder if she will even crawl because she pushes herself around the livingroom on her back and gets to whatever she wants. When you put her on her tummy, she just lays there. She already is pretty good about supporting her weight on her legs. I will be shocked if she is not cruising in another 2 months. Zak definitely feels heavier. He is pretty good about being on his tummy and once he figures out to arch his back the other way, he'll be crawling. He doesn't support his weight on his legs as well (but that may be because he is heavier).

No, Nessa, its not at all. But it makes the time you do have so much more special. Zaid is almost 15 months and I have spent 5 days away from him for the past 13 months, with no breaks or vacations. It does get easier, but then you will also have moments where you just wanna give up. Hang in there, your not alone, it will be good for you and Ben. Ben will be independant and hangin out with his friends everyday, learning and growing from them. And you will have some adult interaction, and of course, making money, lol.

@Vi: Glad to hear Sofia is doing so great! There is a cream you can ask your doctor to prescribe to apply in the place where they inject her a couple of hours before the vaccination (takes I think 2 hours to work). Ask your doctor about it for the next round

(ps: read about it in "Parents" magazine...I need :help:!!!)

Today is my baby shower. We have over 40 people rsvp, I'm nervous!. Gotta go get the house ready :)

Saludos!
