@Yaads: I think that our moms - and us probably too - tend to forget stuff over the years. Also, they didn't have all the information we have now so they might not have known that the pain they are feeling is round ligament pain...it was just pain that was there...You know what I mean? My mom said that I was ALWAYS hungry and started feeding me solids at 6 weeks old because she didn't have enough milk while I know that it was most likely only a growth spurt and she should have nursed me more often...but she didn't know and I don't blame her..how could I.

My grandma insists that her milk went bad...which is basically impossible...it's not like cowsmilk that need to be refridgerated or goes bad when a thunderstorm rolls in

aaahhh now we know what happened to you.

Ggg...my mom sent my dad to Halle/S. twice a week and he took off with his Schwalbe and his "Bunablase" http://img168.imageshack.us/i/pb06027224360312442486ff7.jpg/ to go get apricot mush for me since that was the only stuff I wanted...I still don't believe it but hey...I guess that stuff was somewhat good :)

I remember the pain of just rolling over in bed, I swear I really did feel like a beached whale. I also remember how bad it hurt to sit in an office chair. My poor hips and pelvis just caused me to cry - Twila, I too hurt to get in and out of the tub...lifting my leg felt like such a chore.

I remember it took a while for your incision to heal up good. Did the other aches and pains take some time also?

The only thing that took a little while was the swelling because I had a c-section and they pumped me full of fluids. It took a little more than two weeks for the swelling in my extremities to subside. Otherwise, I felt pretty good. Then again, I was so happy to be up, out and about after 8 weeks of bedrest. I think you forget about all that after delivery because the sleep deprivation is so much worse than anything else you may be experiencing at that point.

Ah, the apricot mush reminded me of something. I know some of us are USCs and some are not, but have you been surprised by anything your spouse or an in-law has suggested feeding your child? My husband told me that back home, they will tie dates up in cloth and give them to the babies to chew on. Sounds kind of good :) I've seen some little contraptions that look like mesh bags to put fruit in for chewing, but I haven't heard how safe they are. Has anyone used them?

I've heard of them, I have bought them, used them and thrown them away after one use. Some moms swear by it...I say..NEVER NEVER EVER put a piece of banana in it, you will never get it clean again  . I think they are pretty safe to use. Have fun experimenting.

I can take the ligament pain -it mainly hurts when I laugh- but HATE peeing every 3O minutes!!! seriously I barely get any proper sleep becoz of it; once I get up in the middle of the night I'm wide awake for a good few hours before I try to sleep again...I'm tired all the time now <_<

We used the mesh bags. Zaid loved frozen grapes in them. Just dont ever ever put bananas in it.

I should have known that before. Bananas seem like the perfect food for those things.:lol::lol::lol:

Yep, I would have put bananas in them first thing.

I froze several little baggies of grapes just this morning for my snacks. I wonder if the little guy will love those as much as I do! Did they help Zaid with teething pain?

I was thinking about getting those mesh bag thingies today. Zak loves watermelon and it would be a good way for him to get to suck on some seedless variety.

The thing about the bananas is so true. :( Put it through the dishwasher multiple times, after scrubbing with sponge and even fingers!! Brown nastiness no matter what!! And yeah, ended up in the garbage.

we used the mesh bags too. Even though I had fair warning I put bananas in them too, against my better judgement..... Don't do it.

I put grapes, blueberries, strawberries in them, sometimes a small ice cube, he loved rubbing it on his gums. Also put an icecube in a washcloth and tie a rubber-band around the ice-cube (very tight), that's a great teether.

@Kelly: ugh, I am so glad I didn't have sciatica pain. Did it bother you after giving birth or did it stop?

Round ligament pain was sometimes so bad that I though I had appendicitis at some point. But a warm washcloth or heating pad helped a lot.
