About names - when hubby and I first start talking about wanting children (before we even married), I mentioned that I really liked the name Declan. So, when I got pregnant, hubby would not even consider another boy's name. I tormented him nightly by reading selections from the Baby Name Book. He vetoed most of them, said a few were okay, but still preferred Declan. Then, after we found out it really was a boy, hubby began referring to my bump as Declan.

I still love the name, but I never figured it would be so mispronounced. I swear, if I have to hear one more "Deeeee Klan", emphasis on the Deee, I will scream.

No hehehe not for the baby....I meant anyone here had dental problems while they were pregnant?

i didn't while pregnant, but i did while breastfeeding. I didn't ask my doctor, didn't even consider. bad mommy. ask your doctor if lidocaine won't hurt the baby. if it does, you can always have the procedure done without anesthesia or wait until the baby is born.

Congrats Jenn! why didn't you join us sooner? Do you know what you're having yet?

Thanks so much to everyone! I was taking a little VJ break, and was also too busy sleeping insane amounts of time to post!

I'm having a boy - due October 21st. The past couple of weeks have been so wonderful; feeling him move around is the best thing so far.

We're still deciding on a name - we were pretty set on one (even my family had been referring to him as "Adam"), but Wadi all of a sudden suggested a different name last night (just so happens to be the one that *I* had originally suggested!). So I hope that he comes to prefer it as well. I won't say it out loud yet because I don't want to jinx it!

Yeah the kicks are great. It's an amazing connection with the baby because you feel everything he is doing :)

Mine at almost 27 weeks has gone past the kicking and is now just plain beating me up. I think I might have to call mommy protection services on him :P

Saludos,

Caro

Lost of VJ mommies in waiting still.

I would never have thought about things like dentist appointments during pregnancy. I'm sure that when it's my turn I'll be bent over the pregnancy books like a scholar. :P

Regarding dentist/ medical visits:

I'm with you HLM with worrying. I need to see a dermatologist because one of my moles has gotten bigger and lumpier, but I'm so hesitant to do it now because they'll probably have to take it out and the anesthesia.

Saludos,

Caro

Thank you to all who responded to my question. I feel better now...I wouldn't say its depression it would only last maximum a few days and then I'm totally fine. I do worry about the baby when I go through these phases so It helps me stop being sad knowing I wouldn't want to harm him in anyway.

Jenn!- you are so right! feeling the baby move has been the best ting ever so far :luv: I'm due right before you around Oct. 12th  We didn't settle on a name either we have one on mind but it's not for sure at all....I have a feeling the baby won't be named until he's in the delivery room lol

Did anyone get dental care while pregnant? I'm sorry if this was mentioned before...

HLM - I had an abcess in the gum that was severe. My OB gave my dentist a list of what could and couldn't be done, and which drugs I could take. I did just fine. :)

Caro - ummmmm do not wait on the mole. Talk to your OB and check with them, but local anesthesia should be just fine. As someone whose sister had stage 3 melanoma do not wait on the mole!

Marina-Del- Yes; that's exactly what you should do. I wish I was more wise to get my teeth done before getting pregnant!! I was occupied and depressed with the visa process then when I got here had no insurance

Staashi- that's what I have too and I'm so worried! I'm seeing my Dr. tomorrow so we'll see what she says.

Caro- Awww :luv:

I went to see my dentist when I was 6 weeks pregnant, no problem.

Caro@ where are the pics of the belly???

Sofia is doing great, we took her for lunch today and then shooping, she behaved as always.

My mommy is leaving next Saturday and she will have a conversation with Sil about me taking Sofia to Peru next January, I really want to go 'cause is really cheap, cheap cheap , is summer time and everybody is off.He is giving me a hard time about it,he says that he will be too nervous,he will miss her too much and bla bla bla. I would love for him to go but he doesn't have time off in Jan, he does during X-mas time but the tkts are too expensive :crying: . Did some of yuo have a hard time when you try to take your babies on vacation without you husbands?

It seems that Sofia will be getting her first tooth soon, any advice, what should I give her?
