Nessa: Are you trying to let Ben's bum get some air? Hana had a bad diaper rash and I gave her at least 1 hour diaperless every night. It helped some. What ended up helping her the most since hers was caused by a reaction to a diaper was the doctor's suggestion to buy some 1% hydrocortisone cream and use it twice a day for just a few days. I did that for three days. Combined with the zinc oxide ointment and air, she looks much better. I do know a lot of mom's where I work SWEAR by Boudreaux's Butt Creme. They said it worked for them when nothing else would. I hope it clears up soon! I know how much red, inflammed skin sucks!

Welcome to the world baby Dariya.

@Anna: Here are two pictures of the diapers. I chose just plain pink from the outside but you could actually use any fabric that somehow breathes. I still have some other pieces here that I'm going to make diapers out of. I put strech elastic at th leg parts so it is more snug than without.

Congrats on Dariya Marielle!!!

And Stef, Ben is such a cutie with his cake in the face pics.

Declan is sick again ... or still sick ... not sure which. He is on day 10 of an antibiotic for his ear infection. We go back to the doctor on Friday to check on his ears and see if they have drained.

Don't diet though. All the bad stuff that your body is getting rid of will also go into your breastmilk when you diet so you want to eat good. You'll have plenty of time to lose all that weight.

i'll increase the calories as she said, i'm not doing a lowcal diet, i'm logging my food to know if i'm eating everything i need, all the protein, good fat, vitamins, fiber, etc. i don't think a number of calories works for everybody. as long as i'm getting everything necessary and i'm not hungry and my milk supply is excellent i don't see why i should eat an x amount of calories a day.

Nessa, I'm sure your diet is fine. It sounds like you are eating well. I think that the point is not to put yourself on a diet to lose weight while breastfeeding--your body WILL take care of itself :star: . Especially if you are getting some exercise.

ok, so against my better judgement, I booked a flight to Germany for Ben and me in August. No clue how to do it all by myself on the plane, but I couldn't resist, the tickets were so cheap and I get to see my sisters newborn and surprise grandma for her birthday.

@autum: thanks for the comment on Ben, I want to post some b-day pictures but I have to re-size them first and there are soooooo many. haha. Hope Declan feels better soon! poor little guy. Is he taking the antibiotics well? Hey when are we going to see some new pics of Declan??

Stef - Declan HATED this recent antibiotic. Normally he takes medicine fine, but he was spitting out this and fighting it so much. We are actually going back tomorrow instead of Friday, since he had a fever of 102 today and has just been miserable.

I will post new pics soon. We are heading to CT for the long weekend (if Declan is feeling better), so we should take some good ones there!
