@Vi: Sorry to hear that your dad will be leaving. My brother and his girlfriend just left yesterday. So after 6 weeks of having family around, I'm all alone with two kids now. My DH has been working nonstop for the past 4 weeks. Ever since I came back, I have spent 2 days with him. He'll be off on Sunday. It's not easy, but you can do it. Keep your chin up.

As for us. Adam has been going to the potty by himself for three days now. He still needs to be naked because he can't tell me when he has to go but I think it's a good sign that he actually DOES go. Shows me that he has function over his bladder muscles and he knows when it's time to go. We'll just take it from here.

Also, we've been off the paci for almost three weeks now. He'll never see one again. I threw them away and as far as I know he's not taking the ones from other kids in daycare either.

The twins had their 4 month well check today. Hana is 13 pounds 14 oz and 25 inches long. Zak is 14 pounds 4 oz and 25 inches long. They both are around the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for length. Their headsize both is above the 90th percentile. They have grown so much considering at 1 month they were at the 5th percentile for weight and length! They got 4 shots and 1 oral vaccine today around 4:30pm. Hopefully this evening won't be as hellacious as the one two months ago when they got their shots.

love the new pics Nessa

Eveline, congrats on getting rid of the binky - I had a big struggle with my son over it and already I dont know how I will do it with amirah but I liked some of the ideas on here like tying them to balloons and saying goodbye. we'll see.

Twila - those little twins are getting so big!

i'm really pi$$ed off that i put ben on the waiting list last september for daycare and now they say theres no space available. ####### am i supposed to fukcing do? ####### is wrong with people? i fukcing work for them, how can they not give me the option of having a daycare available? not only they don't give employees a discount, we have to pay like any orther parent, but how am i supposed to work without a daycare?

@ Nessa - That is horrible! Do you have other daycares in the area, or was that the only feasible one?

BTW, I love the rockstar pics! When Declan was a newborn, I had a Future Rockstar onesie for him!

@ Chrissy - COngrats, can't wait to see Molly's pics!

@ Kel - Hope Zaid is okay. It's funny, because your doctor's visit sounded similar to Declan's. Normally, we are in and out, but the doc was 40 minutes late. Declan had an ear infection too. He is 22 pounds and I think 32 1/2 inches tall, so he's got the whole tall skinny thing going on too!

@ Twila - Yay on the twins getting so big :) They are cuties!

Declan is getting to be such a good eater. I love it! It's funny to see what he doesn't like to eat. So far, he doesn't like cream of wheat cereal and eggs. I think I am going to try a scrambled egg this weekend, because he has only tried poached and fried eggs so far. Otherwise, he loves food :) He especially likes meat and storing it up in his cheeks like a chipmunk! He has tried fish too and likes it.

@autumn: Oh boy. I wouldn't know what to make for breakfast if Adam didn't like eggs or cream of wheat. We only do a rotation of either eggs, oatmeal or cream of wheat :). He actually eats everything. So glad that he's a good eater.

@Nessa: Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the daycare. Maybe they'll have an opening later on.

Nessa@ Is there a plan B?? What about another dayare in the area? and is really crazy that you don't get a discount  . When are you suppoused to go back to work??? do you consider to stay home???

Kel@ Sorry about the appointment. Last week Sofia got three vaccines and she didn't cry so much, the drama came later at home, Oh gOD, SHE SCREAMED LIKE crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! poor baby.

Congrats Ryanandgracey!!!

Dad is leaving in about an hour to the airport, I'm not going, just my mom and Sil (my mom is staying for an extra month) I have to stay home with the baby plus if I go I know I'll get extremely sad. I know I'm lukcy for having my parents her with me but the last three weeks were the happiest since I moved here to this country, seriously.

Gotta go

Big Hugs

no plan b yet, i'll look into it. i dont kmow when they'll have an opening, it might be when i go back to work in july 5th, it might be later, who knows, it might be next year. i put him on the waiting list last september. i confirmed the wl request every month as i was told to. when i left on maternity leave, i talked to them, told them when he'd start and if i should go ahead and enroll him. they say i couldnt enroll him before he was 4 weeks old, so all i had to do was contact them when he was 4 weeks old. so this week hes 4 weeks old n they give me that #######.

i guess it's too much to expect that the people i work with would take a minute to say, hey, btw, it is possible that we wont have an opening by the time you enroll him, you should check other places. instead they all made me think the waiting list was just a formality. from september to may, parents PCSing, coming and going they have no space for him? bs
