Nessa@ when you can't get Ben to burp put him facing down and rub his back, it works great for my girl. She slept great the last two nights, yesterday she woke up twice, I hope this pattern continues.

last 2 nights were better for me also. I'm learning to ignore him lol. it seems to work. i used to go get him whenever he'd start crying or just moving a lot and making noise. now in the middle of the night particularly, i ignore for a while to see if he is really waking up, or just being b!tchy, and he goes back to sleep, then i went back to sleep. i've done this a few times, getting a 4 hours between feeding/diaper change.

ok dumb question. Ben scratches his face, and i try to cut his nails but i'm so scared i'll hurt him. so i put mittens, but he takes them off. I decided to use a safety pin to hold the mitten to the sleeve. any chance the pin might hurt him?

Don't pin the mitts, just use a small emery board (nail file) to file his nails. You can also chew them for him ;)

04-29-2004 Recieve NOA for I-130 and I-485 for our son.

Nessa - When Declan was newborn, we dressed him in gowns a lot and the sleeves were able to either be normal sleeves with his hands sticking out or we could turn them into mittens .... and the best thing was that Declan wasn't able to take them off since it was part of the actual gown. Plus, I loved the gowns for the ease of diaper changing!

yeah i have one like that, that turn into mittens. one of my favorite outfits. but I just don't feel like buying newborn clothes for him, since he's growing so fast.

Nessa - I hear ya about not wanting to buy lots of newborn clothes. I think I was able to find gowns that went up to 9 month size :)

Declan is ONE today!!! I can't believe my baby is a whole year old. This time last year, they had started the pitocin drip and I was trying to manage the increasingly painful contractions!!! It seems just like yesterday that I was in Labor and Delivery.

Thanks to all for their advice and support

Yesterday I came home from work, my wife had some cramping, so she thought maybe she was hungry that was around 3pm. then when i got home by 5pm the cramp was still there. We called the doctor's office and they asked about spotting, bleeding, none of that symptom, the doctor wasn't there but the ON CALL doctor asked her to take some pepto bismal maby it's an upset gastron... stomach cramp. Since We are always on the cautious side instead of the pharmacy we went straight to ER.

At ER they couldn't find the heart beat, the doctor rush in did a sonogram and we had the sad news, my wife is actually in Labor, the baby is always half way through the canal, those were actually contraction, and there's nothing they can do to stop it.

there was nothing they could do to our little boy Little Joshua it's too premature at 17 weeks. The sac broke 30min after we got to the ER came out, We had an ultra sound schedule for next thursday to find the baby sex.

Really Freaky thing, no advance warning, the Cervix just gave up and dilated, opened up way too early. IT's so shocking I still can't beleive it.
