Yeah for Zaid! I guess you pronounce his name like za-id, pronouncing both vowels, right?

chnst: I think chiro too. That was my next resort if Jona hadn't pooped last night.

And my vote for how to pronounce Zaid is ....

Zade (long a, one syllable).

I have always wondered about how some babies names are pronounced. I think we had a few posts on this a while back.

Declan's name gets mispronounced all the time, it is really frustrating because I didn't think it was a hard name to pronounce before I named him.

Hi everyone; I recently started reading this thread and it's very helpful :D

Chsnt... I know exactly what your poor baby is going through; been there last month and it was a complete nightmare for me!! My mother in law recommended Prune juice and I gotta tell you it worked like magic with me! Also wheat bread try to get him to eat one wheat toast and drink half a cup of prune juice. I really hope it would work for him...I hate to know he is going through such pain :(

we have been giving him prune juice and whole wheat for months now but it hasn't helped. He is on a high fiber diet, laxatives etc but it still doesn't work much. It has to get to the point when we give him an enema to clean him out (it's a huge mess) about once a week and then he keeps pooping for 1 or 2 days before he gets constipated again, no bm for a few days, then pushing, blood, hemmorhoids but his stool is never soft.

@Eveline: yeah, I was considering a chiropractor. We have the 1 year check up tomorrow. I will see what he says. I want them to do some diagnostics.

Ben's birthday party was yesterday, it was very special and fun. The weather was bad so we had it inside, but it was such a great day. I will post pics as soon as I get a chance.

Nessa: I am using prefolds (4x8x4 version) and diaper covers. Proraps work best for us. I don't know about daycare, sorry.

chnst: I hope the doc will be willing to do some diagnostics. Poor little guy. Maybe it is some allergy, who knows. BTW nux vomica 30X (at your local Wholefoods market) did the trick, I strongly believe it, paired with flax seed oil. I know we had a one time constipation here, but as said, laxatives and enemas didn't even work for DS.

@Chnst glad to hear the party was good. i hope he gets better soon.

@chrissy: every looks good. i feel some pain in my lower belly, mostlty when i touch, it's very sore, but nothing real painful i can't handle.

@anna: prefolds are not working for me. i'm considering the all-in-ones, but if i invest on them, i wnt to be able to use only them, even at daycare, no disposable at all.

LOL to all the thoughts of how his name is pronounced...Autumn is right is it like Zade or the way Zane is pronounced with a long a...Alot of people said Zayed or Ziyad or Zaheed but its one syllable, a straight shot..

We gave him his power wheels last night and he has been riding it all over the house, i didnt think he would understand how to power it by pushing buttons but alas, he caught on right away.

4 days til the big party and we are plannin and shopping away. I went today for all the tablecloths and forks, knives, plates, etc. I will be sure to post lots of pics. Were so excited!!!

Our daycare won't do cloth diapers, no matter if they are all in ones or prefolds.

I'm thinking about getting Adam a balance bike. He had one in Germany and he loved it, even though he still has to learn how to ride it fast.

Zak decided all of a sudden today he was going to try to "talk" like his sister. So...now I have two of them babbling away. Hana has started to arch her back by pushing up on her legs while laying on her back. I don't think it will be long before she rolls over either. They are growing up fast!
