Caro - congratulations to you three! I know that things didn't go as planned - I had the exact same thing happen to us. Must be the Arg/American baby thing. :P We can't wait to see the piccies!

Nah....I had the same thing happening and Adam wasn't THAT big :D

Neither was Enzo - he was only 6 lbs, 15 oz, but he got stuck - now here's the funny thing: I'm 5'8" and a big girl, but I've got a teeny tiny pelvis.:lol:

Congratulations Caro, daddy and baby Sebas! Sorry you didn't have the birth experience you wanted. Ayman was just as big and we ended up with a csection as well. He was stuck and the Dr said there was no way I could have pushed his huge head out anyways. I bet he's a cutie though!! Can't wait to see him.

it's your turn up at bat, jenn!:dance::dance::dance:

Well, HLM is due before me, but I'm hoping I'll go early. He's already over 7 lbs. according to ultrasound (which I know can be far off this late in the game), but I do still have 5 weeks to go, officially.

 Didn't Caro say just one or two pages back that Sebas was weighing in at 9 lbs, but she didn't believe it?

You never know Jenn! But I'm hoping a very uneventful delivery to you! Not much longer yet!

I know, I know. I'm just in denial! :P

His head is measuring at 42 weeks, 7 weeks ahead. And my plan is to go unmedicated. Ha!

Ohhhhh, Jenn - don't do it! Well, do what you want, but labor hurts like a motherfvcker - and I'm not bullsh!tting you. OMG - I labored with Enzo for hours and I thought I just wanted to die. 60 hours of labor, with 8 of those in hard labor was enough to make me want to die and I have one of the highest pain thresholds of anyone that I know of. No sh!t! I couldn't get my epidural for hours because my IV had fallen out and my veins wouldn't cooperate...I was like, "please, find a vein - any vein - you can put it in my leg, arm, neck - I don't care!!!!" If his head is measuring at 42 weeks you might need to have your entire nether region redone after he's born - and that's no joke. NO JOKE!!! Based on his size, you might be looking at a c-section - ain't nothing wrong with that. :star:

Just remember, at the end of it all - you don't get a reward for going no drugs - truly! Nobody sticks a pin on your chest and says, "Best Mother Ever!" - they just stitch you up and throw a placemat-sized maxi pad on you and place that baby on your chest. Great feeling - but just remember, the labor thing is something that you actually don't have to suffer with - seriously. You're going to be a great mom no matter which way you get there.

My reasons for wanting to go unmedicated are not about being a martyr or trying to one up people who didn't go that way. But thanks for the advice anyway.

ETA: Anyway, my plan is just that, a plan. I would like to avoid an epidural, but I know that things might change. And not knocking c-sections at all - a healthy baby (and mama) is the only important thing, but I would also prefer to avoid that if possible. I do realize that things might change, but don't we all go into it having some idea of how we would like things to be?
