Nur ein kurzes update (ich hatte wegen des Passes meines Mannes gefragt):

Er ist am Dienstag nach Houston gefahren zum Passamt, hat da den Antrag ausgefuellt, 2 Passbilder abgegeben und $150 bezahlt (fuer neuen Pass und Express-shipment) und heute hatten wir den neuen Pass im Briefkasten! In 9 Tagen geht's nach Deutschland :-)

Danke fuer Eure Hilfe und Antworten!

wow super, das hat ja echt toll geklappt! Danke fuer das update, ist gut zu wissen das es per express shipment so schnell geht! Viel Spass in Deutschland!

@Steffi ja Daycare is hier genauso teuer! Au Pair moechte ich auch irgendwie nicht. erstens mag ich niemanden anderes in meinem Haus wohnen haben und zweitens mag ich glaub ich nicht fuer ne 18 jaehrige verantwortlich sein, die ich nichtmal kenne.

01/13/09 - several phonecalls to uscis to find out where my extension letter is - will send out extension letter which will take up to 3 weeks

01/21/09 - phonecall to uscis about the extension letter. They are still working on the service request! told me to go to an infopass

appointment

01/22/09 - went to SS office to get a new SS-card. They won't issue a new one because me GC expires in 2 weeks.

01/22/09 - talked to the Office of my congressman. They will look into the issue and call me back - hopefully!!!!

01/26/09 - talked to the Office of the congressman. She read an email to me from USCIS stating that they sent out the letter on Friday!

They said I should have it in 7 days! So now we wait.....again!

01/29/09 - extension letter received!

05/15/09 - Removal of conditions approved :) ..waiting for actual card now :)

06/01/09 - Card in the mail!

ja den Gedanken jemanden "fremden" im Haus zu haben finde ich auch komisch, aber wir hoffen ja immernoch dass Chuck's 18-jaehrige Cousine vielleicht nach ihrem undergraduate bei uns nen Job als Babysitter haben moechte. :whistle: Ben ist total in das Maedel verliebt.

lol frueh uebt sich :) Ach ich weiss auch nicht mit dem ganzen Daycare kram. Ich hoffe ja, dass ich ne Weile zu Hause bleiben kann, aber vielleicht parttime arbeiten kann. Wir werden also sehen. erstmal muss das baby hier sein. Irgendwie fuehl ich mich nicht wirklich schwanger. Aber ich denke das kommt noch :)

@ Susanne: Alle 4 Wochen ist normal und spaeter dann mehr. Pinkeltest wird nicht mehr von ACOG empfohlen, daher machen es nicht mehr alle obgyns. Kannst Du im Grunde auch zuhause machen, die urine sticks sind wirklich easy peasy. Ich hab sie immer daheim weil ich UTIs bekomme und die sticks sind da aufschlussreich....

Mir wurden bei Kaiser alle moeglichen genetic tests angeboten und ich hab alles abgelehnt... Ich interessier mich nur fuer den 20 Wochen U/S und sonst nix! Mir wollten sie noch den Quad-Screen aufschwatzen....

Schwanger hab ich mich erst gefuehlt als ich Tritte gespuert hab (15. Woche)... Und erst ab der 22. Woche hatte ich einen kleinen bump. Wie geht es Dir mit Essen - ich hatte zwar keine Uebelkeit, aber nie Hunger und fand alles eklig. Kuehlschrank roch nach toter Ratte, igitt!

Ich bin ja nach wie vor bei Jona zuhause und haette noch vor ein paar Jahren gesagt NIEMALS. Aber ich vermisse arbeiten ueberhaupt nicht, vor allem wenn ich dann denke dass ich Jona abgeben muesste in einer daycare (haben ja keine Verwandten hier). Mit preschool kann ich mich anfreunden, da find ich es ok, aber im Moment ist mir Jona einfach noch zu klein. Meine eigenen negativen Erinnerungen an fiese DDR Kindergaerterinnen verbessern das nicht (wirklich fiese Frauen, man musste alles aufessen oder darf nicht spielen, baeh).... Eine lokale preschool hab ich shcon ins Auge gefasst. $150 pro Monat fuer 3 Tage die Woche ist okay finde ich. Die Montessori kostet leider $400, und damit gewinnt die Lutheran preschool.

@Anna naja bis vor 2 Wochen war mir den ganzen Tag speiuebel. Ausser Orangen, Gurken Toast, Orangensaft und Milch ging nix. Das ist aber jetzt besser geworden. Jetzt kann ich eigentlich alles wieder essen.

ich hab mal ne frage: angenommen ich waere in die usa eingereit und haette spontan geheiratet, muesste ich dann aos vor dem verfall vom I94 machen? was wuerde passieren wenn ich es erst spaeter mache?

@ Babsi: es wird glaub ich vergeben, aber man sollte das AOS right away machen. Kann auch ohne medical abgeschickt werden, so dass wenigstens NOAs rausgeschickt werden mit ner RFE, somit man im System ist. Ich hatte ein J1 und wird haben AOS eingereicht sobald wir unser marriage certificate hatten, das war aber 6 Wochen vor Ablauf meines Visums. Man muss halt ein Interview machen wenn man ohne K1 heiratet, ist aber total harmlos.

Das muss man auch machen, wenn man mit K1 heiratet.

Das AOS kann irgendwann beantragt werden aber man sollte natuerlich nicht zu lange warten. Wenn es nach Ablauf des I94W ist wird einem das - wie Anna schon sagte - oft vergeben.

Ich dachte dass Interview wird bei K1-lern meistens weggelassen? Ich hatte damals in meiner AOS Zeit immer wieder gelesen, dass Leute mit K1 einfach die GC geschickt bekommen haben ohne Interview...

@Susanne: Congratulations!! Habe es erst jetzt gelesen....freue mich riesig fuer euch. :dance:

Ja das mit MIL und SIL verdraenge ich immer so gut es geht, aber ab und an verunsichern die mich schon. :-(

Habe mein Interview fuer meine Citizenship am 8.Maerz....mann, was die so alles wollen, das ich mitbringe. Soll unteranderem die tax returns der letzten 3 Jahre mitbringen...haben unsere fuer 2009 nicht gemacht. Hoffe es gibt keine Probleme....ebenso muss ich mich mal schlau machen was DS 1722 (irgendein Wisch vom IRS) ist.... :wacko:

@ahn ich glaub es gibt auf der uscis homepage ne pdf fuer die ganzen fragen, das kannst du ausdrucken und in lernkarten falten.... ich hab mir die fragen irgendwann mal durchgelesen, da sind schon einige dabei wo ich mir denk das nicht mal normalo amis das wissen....
