Ever heard of a sanctuary city? Police are forbidden to ask about immigration status. Houston was one until just recently. Many cities still are.

It seems that pandering to special ethno-centric groups is just the rage in some political circles.

How the hell does state law, or lower, override Federal law?

The founding fathers really screwed up the system with this states rights rubbish. Federal law is the law of the land which should apply to from end to end of the US and override any other laws, such as those in San Fransico.

Make E-Verify mandatory throughout the workforce. No need to deport or jail masses of illegal aliens except those caught coming across the border. Catch and release was discontinued long ago since 98% of the illegal aliens never showed for their court date. Is anyone surprised? I'm not. When so many laws are broken, what's one more? E-Verify will take care of the rest of the illegal aliens already here that have blatantly broken our employment / immigration laws.

Get a clue. These people have no right to illegal work when nearly 12 million Americans are out of work. Country first! Make E-Verify mandatory.

Madison, WI is another, son was hit by an illegal broadsided running a stop sign, called the police, cop comes over and says, doesn't look like $2,000.00 worth of damage to me, and drives off. Son had all kinds of problems filing complaints with the state DMV, just had to give up and pay for his damages himself. Damn cop never even issued a ticket to that illegal, while the accident as they call them was perfectly obvious, said he wasn't there to see it.

I don't care one way or the other about illegals, until they cause you damage and get away with it, that isn't right. Ending up helping my son repair his vehicle, well, he was helping me.

Sounds to me like the problem was a cop that didn't want to do his job correctly. Wouldn't that be your gripe had it not been an illegal that hit him?

It sounds like the cop did a half-arsed job there, but the same arguments really apply not just to illegals but to anyone who drives without insurances with a suspended license. Though on this issue I suspect that its illegals who do this sort of thing more than most.
