Passport clearence certificate from ahmedabad

Please help!!!! I need to submit a pcc from passport office in ahmedabad but they will not issue it until visa date has been issued. NVC will not complete the case until the pcc from passport office....

I am stuck in the middle with no guidence as how to move my case to completed status. I already submitted a letter to nvc stating the reason why pcc from passport office was not submitted...but that is not enough...

how many are in the same boat and please provide guidence as to what to do ....

As per mumbai consulate e-mail that I received, they told me the problem with passport office in ahmedabad has been resolved about the pcc. They told me take packet 3 copy with coversheet which has your full name and case number on it. But when my wife went there with the docs reference by mumbai consulate they wanted to see original packet 3 from mumbai consulate and not the copy from there website. so, I dont know whatelse to tell you. Do you have k3 process going as well or just cr1?

thanks for your reply...i just have a cr1 file...so not sure if i would have a k3 packet...what is the k3 packet...does that include ds 230....do u know if your wife is able to get a letter from the passport office stating that they will not issue it...for the following reasons...

No passort office people said they will not write letter.

waithatter have you been able to get the PCC from the Ahmedabad passport office or is NVC going to continue processing your case without the PCC?? My wife has tried talking to several agents about the PCC issue, and all responses have indicated that they will not issue the PCC until they see an interivew letter.

My wife will get the pcc by tuesday using interview letter for k3. As per mumbai consulate, they told me the problem has be resolved with passport office in ahmedabad. They told me take packet 3 with your full name and case number on it, but when my wife went to passport office with that documents passport office wanted to see original packet 3 and not one from mumbai consulate website with mumbai consulate envelope. so since that didnt work, we just got the interview letter for k3 so my wife will use that now to obtain pcc. I spoke with NVC supervisor regarding the issue but they told me they will not process the case until they dont have orignal pcc from local police station and passport office .

Hi Guys,

I read somewhere that after 2 rfes nvc must process ur case as being incomplete and send it to the embassey...is that accurate..if so can we just just wait for that and have the interview date and take it to the passport office for pcc...

Thanks waithatter, I was planning on abandoning the K3 route, but if I have to use it to get the PCC, then I will just have to follow along and then flip the interview.
