I'm from the Philippines and my marriage was already annulled since 2004...I'm just wondering if they would still require from the father a clearance for my 8 y/o daughter to come with me to US... I'm already using my maiden's name on the passport while my daughter is using her father's last name... Will this be a problem? Hope someone would help me with this? What are the requirements of Immigration for this case...thanks

Since you were married and your child carries the fathers last name, the embassy may ask.

Since you were married and your child carries the fathers last name, the embassy may ask.

I already checked the site...but, it doesn't say anything about my case...all it says there is when the child is traveling alone or with a guardian.... but, when the child is traveling with 1 of the parent...no need for the clearance...So, i'm just curious if anybody had an experience related to my concern...if they asked for a praticular document for it...thanks
