today i got a response letter back from the vermont service center, expedite request denied cause we are under security checks. wow, i wonder how long we are going to be under security checks, this is so unfair, when i first started this process i thought i would only take 6 motnhs to a year, if i had known that i would be stuck in security checks this long i would of never have gone thru this process.

today i got a response letter back from the vermont service center, expedite request denied cause we are under security checks. wow, i wonder how long we are going to be under security checks, this is so unfair, when i first started this process i thought i would only take 6 motnhs to a year, if i had known that i would be stuck in security checks this long i would of never have gone thru this process.

i agree one hundred percent with that i would have found a different way to go than this way

I dont mean to be judgemental but that is a horrible outlook. Its my understanding that both the K1/K3 routes have the same security checks no? So really if you want to be married to your SO , as much as the whole process sucks for everyone you have no choice but to wait. If you would have know it was going to take so long would you have just not fallen in love with your SO?...

i agree too....however i dont think any of us know if we will be flagged for security checks.

they do have a long wait...however when you end up in a security check mode, it can take almost double the norm time for the approval. however, even if the OP had gone for the K-3, there still may have been a security check time. I believe its AR...administrative review....its when a name has been flagged for whatever security purposes.
