I-130 address confusion

Hello everyone, as you guessed it I'm new here *waves*

Let me explain my situation Me - US citizen, my husband is Dutch, and we've been living together here in the Netherlands for about 5 years now, we were just married this December and are ready to start the DCF immigration process!

I'm sure this has been asked before but after reading many pages I could not find it, so here goes...

On the I-130, section B, where we have to fill in our address, is it safe to put my current Netherlands address in there or should I put my parents' address in the states where we intend to move?? I have a residency permit to stay here until May of this year but that will need to be renewed soon as I'm sure this will take longer than four months so I'm not sure if that will be a problem either with the I-864 domicile issue...

Which only leads me to another question on part 4 of the I-864 about my 'mailing address' and my 'residency', once again do I put my current Netherlands address as my residence and my parents' address as my mailing address or the other way around?? I swear we have gone over the instructions several times, I just would like to know I'm not shooting myself in the foot!

Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

The questions are present tense. There are specific questions on the actual visa application that ask for the address where the immigrant intends to live.

I understand that but at the moment we both live abroad at the same address, I just wonder if it makes a difference if I put this as my current address or if it would cause problems...

Well.... first let me say I have not had this problem so take my advice with a grain of salt...

As you are filing for the K type visa for married people I would expect your address's would be the same...

I do not see how this could be a problem...

This is a DCF case, so not a K visa. The visa will be IR1. In most K3 visa cases the couple live in different countries.

I'm trying to convey a principle here. Not only are the questions asked in the present tense but they expect the truth as answers. To qualify to file DCF you and your spouse would have the same current address abroad. Just tell the truth. It's making up lies that will cause you problems.

I'll add, "Always read carefully, interpret literally and answer honestly and accurately."
