Hello I have been approved for my Advance Parole and greencard interview is already scheduled. I was wondering If I can go visit my family for a couple weeks before interview. What possible problems can i have with returning to the USA??

Has anyone traveled outside the US with AP before greencard? How was it? Do I need just AP & marriage certif & passport.

Ohmygosh, Turtles. TONS of people have re-entered the US with their AP's. I did it at least a half a dozen times. Take both copies with you and present those with your passport to the CBP Officer. You will then go to secondary inspection where they will verify your information, stamp the AP and your passport, and insert the I-94. If you are travelling by air you will need to fill out the white I-94 before you go through security. If you are travelling by land they will fill it out for you. There is no fee at the airport for the I-94. By land they may or may not charge you $6. They also may or may not keep one copy of your AP but they will definitely give you at least one stamped copy back. Plan to budget at least 1.5 hours for this process. And, like JWolf says, bring your marriage certificate. I was never asked to show mine but I always carried it, just in case.

Have a great trip.

We just wanted to make sure she wont have a problem when arriving in Moscow. Thanks again for your help and I will let her know this information.
