I had 0 touches in the 10 weeks prior to my K-1 approval... I had an email from USCIS one day saying it was approved...

pay no attention to touches other than the fact that it proves they actually have the petition

Emmett Fitz-Hume: I'm sorry I'm late, I had to attend the reading of a will. I had to stay till the very end, and I found out I received nothing... broke my arm.

I saw that my file was "touched" on Jan 14 but it still says case is received and pending. We received our NOA1 on Sept 19 so we hope for a NOA2 in the next few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with how long after a "touch" we might see some action?

Thanks

Hi!,

We are almost at the same situation. We sent our petition on sep. 23th. We have been touched three time since this time, first one right after they received our case and right now 23th and 26th of June. I do not know what does it mean, that they touched us twice in this month and never has sent any notify e-mail….. My status is still “Case received and pending” …..blablabla….I have no idea about all this issues in USCIS

Hi. How do you find out when your case was "touched" or not?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

visit USCIS website, register your receipt number and you will see a last updated date, when that date change then you've got a touch.

They had received my application on 09/19/2008 and lasted updated 09/24/2008. That means they only "touched" the file once and it's already been more than 4 months since I received NOA1.

Unbelievable!

Believe it, it's true, some people don't even get a touch until approval....
