Hi all,

Received a notification on 01/13/09 that our I-130 application was being moved from Vermont to California (which is obviously good news). File was touched 01/19/09, 01/22/09 & 01/23/09. Anyone out there that got their approval from CSC recently? Just trying to figure out what kind of timeline to expect for the CSC approval.

Also, for the next steps, does anyone know if there's a period for which the police/criminal check certificate is valid for? Someone mentioned 6 months but then we were told it's 30 days so not sure  . Can we get the police certificate now while we're still waiting for CSC to approve or should we wait? Also, is fingerprinting required as part of the criminal check? My wife is in Toronto, Canada and was told that it is currently taking the RCMP about 3-4 months to process fingerprints.

Thanks.

Argent.

Consulates accept police reports done within a year of visa issue but it's wise to do them as close to the interview as practical.
