PS: CIA and FBI as well as some bored local law enforcement authorities have been trolling and recording stuff off the Net for years.

Come on guys.... nobody can read Arabic!

It's not like the NSA can pay people to read other sites looking for clues.

(In reality though, this is actually a really good idea. People put all kinds of private info (like clues that they are linked to terrorism) on public websites. If the NSA or whoever had people that were able to look through thousands of profiles, they may be able to stumble onto something.)

apparently that's how the RCMP first got wind of the 17 they just arrested. They were trolling websites, chat rooms and blogs. A couple of the kids were posting ###### about Westerners and that they were planning to blow stuff up.

Now how or why they need to know what their fave bands are is beyond me, but hey, whatever floats yer boat.
