St Lukes did not keep her passport!!

I am really worried.

St Lukes did not keep Shir's passport at the end of the first day. Nothing was said about something being wrong but she still has her passport.

Is this a problem?

How many people kept their passport till the second day??

Shir says she is scheduled to return for shots, she will get 3, I am thinking this is a good thing.

She is really depressed right now and I can't think of anything to say that would cheer her up...

They will get it at the end of the second day after the process so don't stress out.

Goodluck!

St Lukes never keep any passports...they always hand it to the applicant at the end of the day or whenever you're done with the tests.

LOVE IS PATIENT, LOVE IS KIND. IT DOES NOT ENVY, IT DOES NOT NOT BOAST, IT IS NOT PROUD. IT IS NOT RUDE, IT IS NOT SELF-SEEKING, IT IS NOT EASILY ANGERED, IT KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS. LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL BUT REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH. IT ALWAYS PROTECTS, ALWAYS TRUST, ALWAYS HOPES, ALWAYS PERSEVERSE. LOVE NEVER FAILS.

Is this a new procedure now? I had my medicals a week before my interview ( Sept 11, 2007 ) and at the time St. Lukes kept my passport at the end of the second day. I received my passport with my visa stamped on it together with the brown envelope. Well, it is 2009 and they do have a lot of changes since I had my interview.

Hi,

Im not really sure about this... but as of i remember also before with my medical exam in St. lukes there is one girl there i talked that had her menstruation period so she didnt complete her exam in St. lukes, they told her to come back in 3 days. Her interview in USEM was next 2 days so what happened after i think St. Lukes gave her passport back again and told her to bring it with her in her interview and just give toUSEM cause St. lukes dont have enough day or time i think to deliver it to the embassy. Also i saw lots of people have their passport with them when they came for their interview in USEM and they dont have any problem or quistioned about it. So just relax.

They do keep the passport still, my fiance had her interview on Jan. 14th, 09 and they kept her passport after the second day of interview so they could pass it along with the medical stuff they send to the Embassy.

I've think I've read some post on here where ppl were told to hold onto their passport since the interview was in a day or so and they were just told to bring it with them to the embassy during the interview..

To the OP, if they were told to come back for shots, then the first day of the exam must of went well. Yes, 3 shots sound about right, my fiance got the same amount.

Good luck to your fiance on her second day

Thank you for all the kind words.

Shir has been stressing a lot over this whole deal and I know its been hard on her.

I am still positive about this and try to best to show only encouragment but so many things in this entire process seem to change not only day to day but person to person.

It almost like the ordeal is designed to weed out any who lack courage and determination.

no worries.. they keep the passport after the 2nd day.. no changes or whatever..

if they told your fiance that she'll have 3 shots then that's really a positive news.. also, SLEC doesn't say anything about the results if it's good..

Good Luck on her interview..

Is this the USEM's new procedure? cause as far as i can remember after my medical exam they kept my passport to submit to the embassy and after my interview the only time i hold my passport again was when they sent me my visa.

I think if your interview date is very close to your medical date they return the passport so you have it at the interview.
