#######, really.

Some "schools" forget their mandate and become beacons of morality (rephrase: bleeding deacons of THEIR idea of morality). And if they auto-denominate a "religious organization", maybe they should cut the cr@p and start slashing the science curriculum as well, and while they are at it, omit all uncomfortable passages of World History that do not flatter the catholic clique, I mean, church.

Last I checked, Lutherans are not Catholics--or perhaps you need a rehash of "Thirty Years War"?

Catholic or no, I'm thinking it doesn't really alter the point that was made... ;)

As a private school - they have the right to enforce their own rules, though I would be curious whether they're as draconian when it comes to any high-school/pre-marital sexual relationships.

exactly... what do they do with H.S. pregnancy cases? Do they react the same way when two boys fondle eachother before gym class?

The usual policy at many religious schools is to expel the girl for getting pregnant.

The Court's decision seems to be correct, not that it makes the school a particularly good example of their faith.

 a couple at my bible college got expelled for that reason... There is typically a code of conduct that one signs when you go into these private institutions.. if you fail to follow it (for more reasons that pregnancy etc- i know ours included being drunk, cheating on tests etc), than you are expelled.

 My bad. Perhaps you need to take a chill pill and relax??? It is not that important, really. I am against ANY religion being able to even own a school. And I mean, ANY.

You're in H I G H S C H O O L!!! You have not lived enough to "decide" you are a lesbian! ppfff

Saludos,

Caro

Ok, I'll bite. I don't know your circumstances, but no one at your high school was dating, having sex, or even found anyone else remotely attractive? If this was the case, could you accept through the myriad of TV shows, books, and even Archie comics that these things occurred elsewhere (ok, there's no sex in Archie comics that I know of)?

If you find the concept of sexual attraction plausible for those high school aged, and you admit that homosexuality exists, could you not conceive of gay high school students having becoming "aware" of others at the same age as straight high school students, and having relationships in the same manner?
