hello to everyone, im new in this web and i found it really helpful and informative. i just had my medical at SLEC yesterday jan.27 and i have some questions in mind bothering me, i hope someone can help me out. first is, i did not adviced to come back tomorrow instead on friday jan.30, some of the applicant i asked they were adviced to come back on the next day but me have to wait 3 more days. second is, i had history of pulmonary infections before yr.2003 but it was successfuly treated before thou i presented them all my clearances from my pulmonologist in lung center, i havent receive yet any adviced too regarding the sputum, do u think it is necessary still for me to undergo on that sputum test even if i had the same test in LCP last oct.2008? do u think it will affect my visa application? how about my interview schedule on feb.10? do i need to call them and re-schedule it just in case i need to undergo on that sputum test? hope someone can clear out some of my concern, thank u and godbless to all of you...

Actually, if they've seen a scar in your lungs most probably you will still go under a sputum test and wait 2 months for the results.. but on the other hand if you don't have a scar then don't worry about it..

Good Luck girl I wish everything will work on your medical, just pray and trust God for it..

I think the reason they asked you to come back at a later date, may be that your interview date is not set yet or it is at a later time than those applicants who were asked to come back the next day. It seems that SLEC keeps a close watch to be sure that all medical appointments are done in time for the interview at USEM.

i am actually going thru the sputum test and trust me its a pain in the @**. as stated above if u do not have a scar on your lungs you should be fine. my fiancee was cured and has yearly med check ups including for pulmonary disease's. she even came to the exam with the xrays and med certs saying she is cured yet they did not care and told her to come back to take the sputum tests and she has been waiting till this coming feb 3rd when the results come out for the culture test her final test. hopefully your ok and there are no scars showing...goodluck........o and btw if you need to take the sputum tests, they will be the one taking care of your interview date so dont worry about that. hope this info helps..
