Actually I just read, it say's:

Preliminary processing has been complete and the case has been transfered to the local field office in Fairfax,VA. Any further inquiries should be made with them.

Problem is that I received it on Sept 11'2008 and till date local field office hasn't contacted me. Now I am hoping that they will not contact me for another 4 months and then it'll be 2years of my marriage and then I can get a Permanent Resident Card instead Conditional

Yes, it sounds like your local office has it. Have you checked the timelines at http://www.uscis.gov to see what processing date your local office is working on right now? That will give you a time line.

As has been stated earlier, if your AOS is approved before your second wedding anniversary you will receive a conditional green card. If your AOS is approved after your second wedding anniversary, you should receive the unconditional 10 year card. Don't be surprised though if they approve you just before your second anniversary - that is what happened to us; we were approved 3 1/2 weeks before our second anniversary and got the 2 year conditional card. As you can imagine, that was extremely frustrating! I hope you have better luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I feel bad for you... I hope I don't get a call somewhere around the same timelines. I'll be really frustrated if that happens :(

We're in a similar situation. My husband came on a fiance visa, then we applied for AOS in Oct 2007. Our case was transferred to CSC in Dec 2007. We haven't heard anything since. Does this mean my husband in under FBI name check or something? So, we've been waiting one year and four months. Any advice?
