attacking a member is against the TOS....

attacking someone in pain bc of their broken marriage, is tasteless

If you have nothing supportive to say, and your only planning to kick a person when they are this down, do the board a favor and dont say anything at all.

Also, a forum tip....if you dont like the topic, dont open it.

you were able to decode that?

Sorry for your pain, there is a reason for everything which occurs, good and bad we MUST be supposed to deal with it. At least that's my 2 cents, I know it doesn't help now.

I was in a fraud marriage to a USC which was abusive and it's so hard to recover. I was with him for a long time and yes it was always fraud but I was never sure, always trying to be hopeful. Please take care of yourself, and find those who do love and care for you and lean on them now.

Peace,

Mariah

I think why some people are attacking instead of offering support is because of the lack of details. It seems like anytime somebody screams green card fraud, that's all they say and nothing else, leaving the rest of us hanging wondering what the heck happened. It's very frustrating and does nobody any good. Please if you want to share your experience, at least be forthcoming with some information about your circumstances. (F)

I have a feeling that she is hurting, and not ready to open up. I hope that she can heal, and will come back at a later date, and let us know some details so we can all understand better how these things can happen.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

Exactly, asking someone who is hurt to provide complete details is more hurtful if not ready to discuss it.

Here's something to make you all think about getting scammed or not: http://marriagepartner.com/forum/

Do a search on the foreign marriages...it will scare you.

I tried the link out of curiosity and can't get it to pull anything up.

Sorry, here it is - http://marriagepartner.com/forum/forumdisp...&order=desc

I found that site a year or so ago and was like  wow!

THAT is a site for warnings and "be aware!"

THIS is a site for immigration support and assistance from others. These are ladies and gentleman who have already made their decisions.

so ya, come for support...maybe leave out the empty warnings. Thats why people ask many questions to OP's who come and say things like the OP did.

Im all for curiosity, its human nature..but attacks arent necessary for sure :)

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Oh, I know all that - but when people sit there and say, "Oh there is no way that my man would ever be out to scam me" - well, not necessarily - here is a site where people are blatantly honest about it and discussing it. So it is a wake up call for those who should know that people are out there doing these things. Of course, VJ is dedicated to those who've made their decisions - but this site helps people make informed ones - get my drift?

I am so sorry for what ever the OP has gone through. To the OP if u need to talk u can email me anytime or message me on VJ. I was married for ten years to a Mena man, he already had his green card, but I went through alot of abuse. People always ask why does the woman stay. Well its not so easy to answer. Al humdulilah now I am married to a wonderfull man , he is from Pakistan, and he is and always has been honest, and decent. However, I have said many times on this forum that no matter how "in love" we are, how much we feel, the cultural differences have to be recognized from both sides, and u should always resolve issues before u start ur life together. Know where u both stand. Dont asume he is going to be or do this or that. And if he is muslim , even though he does not practice or seems he is so westernized, no matter what his Islam will still be there somewhere, especially when us start having kids. So issues of religion, and culture and how to raise ur kids should be top discussion while ur waiting out this process before he comes here.

But if you were scammed or even gone through abuse this is something different and I feel bad for anyone who has gone through that.

Truth of Palestine

take time to watch , give yourself time to understand. Then make your conclusions.

Hello! I am sorry to hear what has happened to you. Like others have said it is unfortunate you did not leave him when he first became abusive and then he would never have gotten his degree and etc. It is not fair he got what he wanted and then left you. Who knows later who he may hurt in the future. Well, hopefully you have learned to be more selective of your future partners. Stuff like this happens to people all the time, even people from the same countries can use people for benefits though. It is not uncommon for people to use each other. If signs are evident in the beginning that is when people need to open their eyes and stop fooling themselves. Like I mentioned before, the first time he started being rude or violent that would have been time for me to let him go back to his home. I hope you have better luck next time. Good luck.
