I-130 Transferred to California Service Center

I received an email stating that my petition was transferred to the California Service Center .... It seems like the I-130 seems to be quicker at Cali...my question is will I still fall under the Vermont processing times for I-130 or fall under the better CSC processing times

you will fall under CSC timelines.

Transfers to CSC means that your approval should be coming soon, as CSC is processing applications pretty quickly.

Our application got transferred to CSC on Jan. 14th and has been touched several times since...so hopefully that means approval soon. And from what I have heard, it is a good thing to be transferred. Just keep praying!! I hope well all get good news soon!

Hi CMNB,

On the CSC site it say 6 months timeline. Will the 6 months count from you original NOA date? I think not.

I was really expecting to have heard something by now being that I was transferred on the 22nd of December a nd many people have had on average a 5 month wait (if they were transferred in December).

I haven't quite gotten to 5 months yet but I was hoping especially as many octobers and most septembers have gotten approved. Hmmm!

Our file hasn't been touched at all since the 2nd of January.

Anyway, good luck all and I hope we all get through this soon.

I hear you Eagle. We've passed the 5 month wait period and we are nearing 6 months. My husband was told we still have 133 days before we fall 'outside normal processing times'. Apparently they still count us under Vermont filing times and not Californias

That must just be what they say just so you don't put pressure on them cos' that hardly makes any sense. so what will have been the point of transferring us, right?

I'm sure you'll hear any minute. I've become slightly paranoid that the delay is due to the fact that my country of residence is different to my country of origin.

The wait is killing me but I'm hopeful. Good luck Canada wife and everyone else.

You posted on a almost two years old thread and bumped it up. CSC is slow now. As is every other center. Don't bump old thread unless it is absolutely necessary.
