My ex and current husband are circumcised and my two adult sons are circumcised. It was never an option NOT to circumcise my sons. I had way too many friends that had a lot of problems with their uncircumcised sons, plus their father was circumcised, so it was decided way before I even ever had sons.

I dont think any adult has the right to cut off any part of a child.

There are millions of men and boys in the world who have never been circumcised and they do not have any ill effects. Some doctors tell horor stories about not having your sons done, claiming they will have lots of infections and could get cancer. There are also many doctor that say there is no risk to the male from not being circumcised and as long as they have good hygine there is no problems.

If there is a medical reason for it to be done, as in the foreskin is to tight and they cant pee then fair enough, but to have someone cut off the skin that protects the end of the ####### just because your culture says it should be done is not in the best interests of the child. They banned female circumcision so that people dont go cutting off the skin covering the colitiris, maybe we should do the same for boys.

oh, and if my husband didn't agree, i'd probably do like i think it was desperate housewifes where her husband was against and she tried to convince the doctor to do so behind his back and the doctor said no so she pretended to be jewish and did it.

this is one of those things that if we disagreed, he'd have to live with it because no way my son would not be circumcised.

russian orthodox=no circumcision. it's viewed as a jewish practice.

If we have a boy, he will not be circumcised. I feel very strongly against it.
