Lafleur's poutine!! Anytime I go to Montreal to visit my Pops I have to get Lafleur's.

Oh I finally tried poutine when I went to Canada last month! But it was at a movie theater. Is that OK?

 That's OK, at least you tried it! It probably wasn't true, authentic poutine (was it cheese curds or just regular melted cheese on top?) real poutine comes with cheese curds.

Agreed. Thats why I like Harvey's, cuz even though its fast food, they still use curd. mmmmmm. Thats one of the times I'm going to have to drag Wes out for.

3)When my husband is away, like right now, I occasionally spend all day in my pyjamas eating Froot Loops, watching the Real Housewives of Orange county and never brushing my teeth. And then I tell people that I went to the gym and then job-hunted all day. Just to clarify, this is only occasional behaviour!

OMG, I would KILL to be able to do that! Except without the frootloops. :dead: Oh, and plus I wouldn't tell people that I went to the gym and then job hunted because they'd know I was lying.

I've lived in a haunted house before (actually two). It's very scary and no fun at all. I never want to experience it again. :crying:

:o

What happened?

OH, and I thought Smarties were an English product? I had them when I lived in England. Canada seems to have a lot of English products. Thank goodness. I was thrilled when I found Cadbury's chocolate buttons there! I LOVE those things and they are hard to find in the U.S.! This group sure does like food.

Yes, Smarties are English. But you're right.... because of the huge British population and the ties to GB, you can pretty much get anything in Canada that you can get in Britain.

Hmmm....maybe I should be moving to Canada instead. :star:

It had pieces of cheese in it, no melted cheese on top.

Well as for the haunted house thing, too much to go into in detail. But a few of the more significant happenings:

In England we had gotten my son a tricycle for Christmas (this is with my ex) and my ex and the kids were in the living room watching tv. The tricycle was in the kitchen where he had been playing on it earlier. I was not home at the time, but they tell me that the bell on the tricycle went off and it freaked them out. Then one day, we had come home and were standing in the foyer trying to decide whether to turn around and go back out to go somewhere else or stay home, when in the living room I saw my son's water gun slide off of the coffee table and onto the floor. You get the picture. Then, after we moved to Texas, it started out the first night there. My daughter was too scared to sleep in her room alone the first night, and we didn't have our furniture yet, so we were sleeping on the floor on blankets. My daughter was sleeping next to me and my ex was sleeping off to the side by himself (cuz he said she moved around too much and kept him awake). In the middle of the night, he got up to go to the bathroom (master bathroom). That woke me up and I was lying there with my eyes closed, but awake, and all of a sudden I hear him say from the bathroom "Claire, leave me alone, I'm trying to go to the bathroom!" When he came out he came to me and said "Would you keep Claire from bothering me when I'm going to the bathroom?!" And I said, "What are you talking about? She's been asleep next to me the whole time!" Well he totally freaked out. While he was in there, he heard a child's voice whispering at the door "Dad! Dad! Dad!". Spooooky stuff. Let me tell you, I never believed in ghosts until I experienced this stuff for myself.

My house in Midland was like that. Totally haunted. Freaked me out. My husband never believed in ghosts either until he moved there. It is very scary. And some really weird stuff happened with my son before my grandfather died too. I believe in all that stuff and I don't play around with it at all. :(

You do and its hard to tell people because sometimes they laugh at you. My husband would laugh at me until he moved in and experienced it first hand. My son can still remember everything that happened in that house, he remembers his crib shaking and all these things that happened when I wasn't there... I always found it weird that he never wanted to sleep in his room, and now he tells me the kinds of things that happened there... no wonder.

I wouldn't say I necessarily "believe" in the supernatural, but I'd like to keep an open mind. I've read all sorts of material on hauntings (mostly for entertainment as I like ghost stories), but I'd be interested to see if ghosts are real for myself.

That's because she's stalking you. Run! Run while you still can!

Wow. Yep lived in Midland for 7 years!

Who woulda thunkit? I never thought Midland was a popular place, but it is. Now that's a place I miss a lot, I love Midland. Its much smaller than North Bay, but better memories. :P

Yes Krikit I bet it would be interesting.

But has anyone ever seen a ufo?

I have! But you're the first person I've told, so don't tell anyone. :secret: We need a UFO thread!

So have I. In North Bay with my family. :(

I was scared. :(
