Are biometrics needed for AP?

Hi!

Had my biometrics done yesterday in Helena, MT for both AOS and EAD. I was pleased to get both of them out of the way at the same time as I thought this would mean no more trips to Helena until the AOS interview.

Then the guy asked me if I'd applied for a travel document and said I'd have to come back to do the biometrics for that or we could do it at the time of my AOS interview.

Two issues:

i) I didn't think biometrics were needed for AP.

ii) Isn't the AOS interview likely to be about a year away from now? Would be rather a long time to wait for AP!

Can anyone enlighten me please?

1. You don't need biometrics for AP.

2. Most people get approved at their AOS interview and receive a green card couple of weeks later, so you don't require an AP.

No biometrics are needed for AP and unless you are unlucky I doubt you will still have a year to wait for your interview....
