Happy Tuesday MENA (F)

Jeanne and I are chilly in AZ! Last night there was a slight breeze and I was so cold leaving the gym! Brrrr :D Thank god it was only 50...hehe! :innocent: I started looking thru the twins light clothing already because I know we will need to start switching their outfits by March back to all cotton and light pants. I want to see what we have and what I will need to purchase soon. No more fall clothing...Not that we ever owned "winter" things....:P

Dad has his follow up for the specialist today to find out if he can be admited to the hospital for the reschedule biopsy...praying these insurance folks get their ducks in a row and stop stalling :(

My MIL is leaving soon back to Egypt. I'm sad to see her go...she's my life saver here and truly my good friend. I'm going to have a very hard time saying good bye :crying: I wish she could stay forever. My son, Zain is going to be so sad...they sleep together every night...she spoils them both to death. But Zain and Grammy have a special bond :crying: Plus who's gonna cook up a storm like her?!:whistle:

Boy this month has been a flurry of activity and drama.

Sorry Tash...I pray warm weather comes soon for you...but if not, move here! Or at least come visit...mi casa es su casa babes!

I keep telling my hubby...are you sure you want to move back to NY? Snow, sleet, rain, cold weather, no day trips to cali/vegas, salt all over your car/clothing, winter coats and expensive housing and living? He claims yes but this past month keeps asking about "if we stay here...."

I just booked my ticket go from Columbus to New York (JFK) and fly Egyptair to Cairo! Not stopping in Amsterdam! Sorry! I like the quickest route to see my husband!! It was not too bad $1275. I love it that you go from US directly to Egypt.

Tasha I am so excited to get away from the snow.

Good wishes for the JFK to Cairo leg of the trip.

EgyptAir isn't exactly the most comfortable and that's a looooooooooong flight. :crying:

Insha'Allah I won't be making the trip too many times again, though I'm thinking about breaking the next trip up into CA to JFK or surrounding area, and then JFK to Europe, and from there to Cairo. I would think the shorter flights would be easier to bear. 11 to 12 hours on a plane at one time is just too much.

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

Hubby flew Delta..he went Cinci to Columbus to JFK to Cairo. Then he will fly Cairo to Cinci home. His was 1160 with taxes and everything. I tell ya what, Egyptair freaked him out when he flew to the US in April. He said he thought the plane was going to blow up...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! I know the feeling, second hand plane!!

Annie...I'm coming to your house when Ayman gets home...its my turn for time away.

I wanted to ask, for any of the OLD TIMERS on VJ like me..(talking like 2004) does anyone know what happened to Bornot2be, Lebanese Mama, Andrea, tariktchach, reddaisy, honeyblonde, those were such regulars on here for SUCH a long time. Would be nice to have an update on them if anyone talks to them still.

That's great about Zaid! He's a big guy...Malek is only 19.5 lbs but 32.5" tall..he's a skinny guy like daddy! Hey, at least you didn't have to deal with him screaming while you were dressing him and trying to write out the check for the copay. Go BIGBOY Zaid!!!!

Kelz, Bornot2be is (if I'm not mistaken) living in Morocco w/ her hubby. I am in touch regularly w/ honeyblonde and she's on FB, so I'll suggest her to you as a friend. I often think of Tracy (tariktchach) and wonder how/where they are. I haven't heard anything about/from Lebanese Mama or Andrea for a while.

Look for the FB suggestion soon.
