Hi, i'm new to the forum and am just starting the marriage based green card process with my wife. I have a few general questions on how to fill the forms out correctly:

1-should the forms be typed in all caps?

2-on i-130, question 22- how do i find the uscis office that we will apply for adjustment of status?

3-on i-130, ques. 19- if my wife hasn't lived abroad for 15 years, is it necessary to list abroad address and phone?

4-on i-130, ques. 14- it asks for date authorized for stay expired on your i-94, but my wife's i-94 doesn't give a date, it just says "D/S". What should we put?

5-on i-485, part 3, C.- it asks for past memberships- does that include all clubs thru school and work, or just political affiliations? Should we just put "None" to save trouble?

6-how do you locate visa number and alien number?

1-should the forms be typed in all caps?

I didn't do it. ;)

2-on i-130, question 22- how do i find the uscis office that we will apply for adjustment of status?

22. (city) Chicago (state) Illinois ---- on the right site: (city) N/A (country) N/A

3-on i-130, ques. 19- if my wife hasn't lived abroad for 15 years, is it necessary to list abroad address and phone?

Is she in the us illegaly since 15 years? ... I'm confused now

4-on i-130, ques. 14- it asks for date authorized for stay expired on your i-94, but my wife's i-94 doesn't give a date, it just says "D/S". What should we put?

14. If you are a lawful permanent resident alien, complete the following:

Date and place of admission for adjustment to lawful permanent resident and class of admission

I left mine blank

5-on i-485, part 3, C.- it asks for past memberships- does that include all clubs thru school and work, or just political affiliations? Should we just put "None" to save trouble?

I can't answer that

6-how do you locate visa number and alien number?

it says: A# (if any) ... if you have none, write none (you'll get one with the NOA)

your visa number is on the I-94 ... (should be 11 numbers)

2: That's only if your office is Chicago, to find the field office closest to you go here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

You send your applications to the Chicago lockbox, but that is NOT your field office.

6. Your visa number is not on your I-94. It is the red number on your...visa.

1. NO, only caps on LAST NAME.

2. I put "Chicago, Illinois"

3. I'm not too sure if it is necessary, but I still put my foreign home address (which I have not lived for 6 years) However, I think she should put since she is originally came from that foreign country.

4. I do not have an expiration date too, so I put "None".

5. I have never join any clubs in US, so I just simply put "None".

6. The Nonimmigrant Visa number is the "RED number" located on the right bottom corner of the Visa page inside the passport. Alien Number is the A# which "not everyone" have it. I got mine since I got a EAD (work permit) before, the A# was on the card. If your wife doesn't have one, just put "None".

HOPE THESE HELP!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Is it necessary to list her abroad address and phone on form i-130 #19? Also, I was referring to form i-130 #14 on relative's side (it asks for date authorized stay expired as shown on i-94). Her i-94 expiration just says "D/S". Is that what we put?
