Hi guys.

I know I'm probably boring you with stuff that has been asked before, but I'm just trying to get our AOS package together and I have a few questions. If you can answer all or one that'd be great, I'd really appreciate your help.

Ok, on the list of things to do I need an answer to the following: Do they require an original marriage certificate or will a photocopy suffice? The reason I ask is that we only have one original at present and it will take some time to order a copy.

It says that a K-1 holder should submit a copy of the NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F. Is that the one which has I-797 Notice of Action in the top left hand corner, or is it one of the other notifications?

The G-325A - do we both have to fill one out as before or just me (I am the one applying for permanent residency)?

Perhaps most perplexing of all is the I-693 Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. It says if you already have this from your Visa interview then submit it, but I do not recall receiving it (unless it was in the yellow package). However, the second part applies - I had my medical in May 2008, which would mean I had it within a year and I also have the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet and a certificate stating I have the MMR jab (which I had in London). However, it then says fill out the I-693A supplement, which from what I read has to be obtained from a civil surgeon. Is this correct? And if so is this different from a doctor? Would not sending in the vaccination documents suffice?

Hope you can help with these questions, guys - you've been fantastic so far and I'm looking forward to getting some answers to these questions.

Kind regards,

Paul

1) Unless specifically requested a regular photocopy of the requested document is OK

2) Yes

3) Just the applicant

4) Yes, the vaccination information is all that is needed... Do you have the DS-3025?

YMMV

Photo copies,

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.

NOA2.jpg

Only the Applicant (Visa Holder) fills out a G-325A.

The I-693A is OBSOLETE, you will be providing an I-693, just the vaccination part needs to be done by a US Civil Surgeon, Read the directions with form I-693.

Hi.

Thanks for that information. So when I request an appointment for a civil surgeon do I just ask for the Part 2 Section 5 of I-693 to be transcribed or am I going for another medical exam? I'm not sure what I should be asking for when I ring and how much it might cost.

No just having vaccinations transcribed, if the doctor tries to convince you to do an exam, simply point at the directions with form I-693 and tell them you had that done for your visa and don't need full medical, many doctors try to rip-off people and whack them for a full medical.

Come have been fine with sending DS-3025 with AOS, others get an RFE for an I-693 when they do that.

I would get it transcribed to an I-693.

Excellent advise. These Civil Surgeons thinks they have a license to steal
