marriage procedure in allegheny county

Hi

We applied for a marriage license a couple of days back and expect it anytime in the mail.

Now with the actual process - my US fiancee is looking for magistrate for our civil marriage ?

does anybody has any experience on how to go about it ?

You can contact your local court, and ask about procedure for civil marriage.

In out case We applied for marriage license at the town court, and contacted and scheduled a time for the judge to perform the ceremony, there was a small fee to pay the judge.

Here is a list of magistrates' offices by municipality - you will want to call them to find out how long in advance to schedule;

You can get married here, at the Allegheny County Arraignment Court, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year! We got married on the 4th of July!
