WOW!!! congratulations Patrycja, thats GREAT news. im hoping all was ok with my new photos. im just curious about yours, you said you didnt write your name on the back of your photos, or did i misunderstand your post. what exactly did your letter say. my letter specificaly said write NAME & ALIEN# on the back of photo with PENCIL. i have seen another post, regarding repeated RFE's due to passport size photos she is at the (NVC stage) since August 08

On the I-130application (USCIS stage) it states to write info on the back OF PHOTO with BLACK FELT PEN OR PENCIL.

At the (NVC stage) it gives detail specifications on HOW to take the photo, but doesnt say whether to write in pen or pencil. (CONFUSING).

well im just hoping i dont receive another RFE!! again congratulations on your approval.

Thank you for your well wishes, I'm sure that your approval is just around the corner. When I saw that our case has been resumed it was about 1 week and I kept checking everyday thinking, what on earth is taking them so long. But late friday night, after I gave up and went to bed, we were approved.

To be honest, I don't remember what the RFE said exactly - I was so surprised and so intent on sending it back, I just read it and followed the directions. They requested 2 passport photos of me, plus we forgot to put 'N/A' on the line for my husband's middle name - that's it. I did it all within the hour and caught the last post that evening.

I'm sure you will be okay, now it's just a matter of time, but you know you are so close.

Fingers crossed and hopefully you will be back soon to share the wonderful news.

Hi on my photos i wrote my name, date of birth and my WAC registration number. in PENCIL!!!! i sent them 2 (2x2 passport) size photos. just in case they lose one.

Oh darn, I think I wrote our names in blue ink. I was so caught up in the whole "do not sign documents in black ink because they sometimes send it back thinking it's a copy and not an original". Oh, I could just kick myself now. I thought I was so carefull, too

I am just hoping that since I wrote so lightly and pictures could not have been damaged in any way, that it will be ok. Pray for me folks

Oh Lord Have Mercy, where did you read " DO NOT SIGN IN BLACK INK" i dont rememeber seeing that anywhere on the applications, or was that a VJ suggestion. i cant take another RFE!! LOL. i typed everything on my applications and signed in black ink. even the instructions on the I-130 said to print your information on the back of the photo in BLACK FELT PEN or PENCIL. I chose the felt pen thinking that information in pencil could be erased. i was very careful not to smear the writing, and it did not bleed onto the other side of the photo. Im still confused on what happened to my first set of photos. they never said in the letter what happened to the first set.

any way i signed everything in BLACK INK. this is so nerve wrecking. good luck everyone. LOL

Uh... do people normally get rejected for using felt pens? My husband and I printed our names on the backs of the photos clearly... with a ballpen as I recall.

I haven't read abt it happening alot, but in this case they just got an RFE so no worries, I don't think they can reject or refuse ur case cuz of something like this...

we got the letter from uscis regarding RFE

they were asking about the birth certificate of my husband since it was released from the hospital. They want a copy release from the civil registrar. How long does it take for that to be release? And they were also asking about the passport of my husband since we never submitted the passport because it was revoked upto this time due to debt to child support. My question is, can we submit a photocopy of my husband's revoked passport? Since they know my husband's SSN - they just want to know if my husband is a USC
