AOS approved without interview?

I'm not the original poster, but my AOS package was transferred to the CSC (California Service Center), too. I simply made sure to enclose everything that was required, and I also enclosed two items: a copy of our car insurance, with both of our names on it; and a deposit slip from our bank account, also with both of our names on it. Perhaps these items (undeniable evidence of a marital relationship, to a reasonable person) are what prompted the transfer of the package to the CSC. We'll see if we can avoid an interview and simply receive our two-year green card.

my impression was that a lot of k visas get excepted from the AOS interview (as long as everything on paper looks legit) because they've already been through an interview process in the home country (at the US consulate).

I mean there must be some reasons why some applications are sent directly to CSC. Those applications must look really good.

Enough evidence of a bonafide marriage is my guess what prompts them to send the paperwork to CSC....Also, I have seen 1 person so far from my group, September filers, who got transferred to CSC and still got an interview.

Exactly right. We K1s have already proven our relationships and been to an interview so that's why they transfer to CSC. We had a nice look application, but did not send any evidence of a bonafide marriage with the AOS application (other that the marriage certificate). We were transferred to CSC.

EAD was granted and its been over 110 days and no interview date has been given so I am assuming that we will be given our GC without an interview as well... hopefully soon

did you do something special to skip the interview? i mean, your package must have been perfect so they dont ask you any further information. what kind of evidence of bona fide marriage did you give them?

Thanks for all the congrats! I will get our timeline updated this weekend.

We sent it in late August after getting married in July. The only evidence we included was the marriage certificate from the state and a copy of our marriage application. That was it. No other evidences.

We were a K-1. For our original application for K-1 we had phone records, plane boarding passes, passport stamps, letters dating back from the start of our application. The usual stuff.

Oh, we mailed it to Chicago but it got transferred to CSC.

well, I do hope that I will be lucky too as you.. am crossing my fingers tight and keep on praying that my AOS will go smoothly! as far as you did mention on what you and your hubby sent docs is that it is not quite far the way we did before we sent off our packet 23rd this month.. but i haven't heard anything of it yet now, where it is reach on the logbox @ chicago, IL or not?! can you tell me how to find out?? thanks and CONGRATULATIONS!! thanks for spreeding the graces and great news!! yepey!! am happy for you, gurl..

hi KC LOVES MP, can you tell me what are the docs you sents?? i mean the supporting docs.. my husband and I did sent off my AOS 23rd this month and as far as I know, he did enclosed every supporting docs that he had and thinks would help!! i do have my checklist on my AOS, can you share yours too??! I saw that your AOS has been approved and I am happy for you!! hope you could give me a little hand, please?! thanks...

im not really sure about showing documents that will prove a bonafide relationship for those who are applying for AOS results to gc even without interview, i thought showing ur relationship is true only happens on the AOS interview. i think the one valid proof a true marital relationship with ur petitioner is a marriage certificate which you attach with ur aos.

i agree to the up post that K1 petitions already proven that "bonafide" relationship through the interview at their home country.

so i think one reason that cases are being forwarded to the csc and getting a gc even without the interview just means that all the required docs (based on the i-485 instructions) are provided and so as to save time, no interview is asked.
