went to the interview today, but it did not get approved yet due to the missing document. Officer issued an letter requesting document to be sent to her within 30 days. Then she will mail the final decision back.

some people said I should go to a info pass and bring the document with me, that way i can get the final decision in person. so what is a info pass and do I get to talk to the officer during interview or a random one.

thanks

Yeah infopass is an appointment you make through the above link at your local field office.Yes you will see an officer in person, but it won't be the one who interviewed you.I suggest just mail the documents she requested and wait for your decision .Keep ur mailing receipt and if you don't hear from her after a while then make infopass.

Best of luck.

Infopass is panic time, like when your conditional resident is about to expire, will lose your job, can't travel, there you are wasting your time unless depending on the person you talk to will tell you to come back within a two week timeframe for an I-551 stamp on your current foreign passport of you get an I-94 extension. These appointments can only be made two weeks in advance and that is if you can find an opening. Can't recall the exact time, thought it was at 4:00 AM when they update the schedule, wait much longer, and the next two weeks would be full, Fortunately our ten year cards came in 15 days before the expiration of the one year extension, so we didn't have to make that nine hour trip.

Wife's friend made an infopass, lives close to St. Louis but is in the Chicago district, for her, has to take a train and stay overnight in an overpriced Chicago downtown hotle, for her N-400 where she was rejected because besides all the evidence she presented, her IO wanted to see a utility bill with hers and her husband name on it. Ha, I can call any of my utility companies and tell them my wifes name is Laura Bush, they don't give a #######. But she went in three months after she sent that in, with all that expense, only to be told, they are still deciding on her case. Was a wasted trip for her. She is still waiting after a year, told her to contact Obama, he was nowhere around to be found, but could see him on TV, then that mess with the new senator, haven't talked to her recently. But last time, at Christmas, suggested she move out of Illinois and reapply in a different state.

Me? I overloaded them with proof, wifes friend didn't bring in any utility bills, she is the one having problems. She was a year ahead of us, but now a year behind, wife is a USC. Did that when we applied from reading posts like this one on this board.
