The only 2 possibilities - being "blind" or being anti-semitic.

 Idiot.

You said 'only'. Not I. I won't lower to your level call you what you are.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You didn't say the word "only" (as if that's supposed to make some semantic difference) but those are the only options you offered.

Doubly idiotic (and pedantic to boot).

All the Palestians have to do is look out their windows, see rockets being launched and KNOW there will be retaliation.

Wow that's all they have to do? Who knew? Crazy people in Gaza shouldn't be frightened at all now that the rockets aren't being launced right? Water should be flowing, electricity should be uninterrupted, fuel deliveries in abundance right?

Maybe next time they'll think twice about voting for a known terrorist government.

I doubt it... Fear usually galvanises aggressive nationalism.

that worked here after 9-11 but when citizens see their homes getting destroyed and their leaders hiding perhaps they will want new leadership. There is a direct correlation between poorer conditions in Gaza and the political rise of Hamas

They might, sure.

But this is a strategy that's been pursued there before - with pretty poor results.

Its a fair bet that someone who has seen their house destroyed, or family members killed and maimed - probably isn't thinking overmuch about voting for a less militant government.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any "Western" Muslims (basically, those between Mediterranean Sea east to Patna) coming to that logical conclusion since 1947-08-14.

They would if they understood their enemy appeases more concessions than any nation on earth would rightly do and that same enemy will never be defeated militarily

People don't tend to think clearly when they're angry or distraught. I don't think that's too difficult to understand.

its an unfortunate cycle when discontentment rises to power and perpetuates that same malcontent to its people

Especially when their anger and distraughtness is kept ablaze by their "representatives/leadership" (admittedly sounds out of context, but actually applies in region from Med to Wagha/Attari border).
