I feel broken today. :( I have been dealing with chronic pain for a while but it's really been non-stop (no lulls in the flare ups lately). I had been put on ultram and was doing well combining that with 2 tylenol throughout the day and then whammo my doctor called and said stop it because I'm also on lexapro so he changed me from ultram to darvocet. I took darvocet Friday and it made me tired and gave me HUGE intestinal distress and after lying down at 7:30pm I didn't wake until Sat at around 10am so I stopped that. I cannot take ibuprophin or motrin or naproxin because it makes me super nauseous and gives me intestinal difficulties so now I'm back ruining my liver with like 4 tylenol every 4 hours and that's not even scratching the surface. My pcp gave up on me today. I called to tell him that the darvocet is not working for me and he sighed and said, "well what do you want to do now?" Um...DUH I'd like to be able to do the dishes without being in excruciating pain, I'd like to not navigate my world each day based on what function will hurt the most, etc.

so....I've surrendered and bought those hideous looking arthritis gloves and will be wearing them from now on. That won't help my feet/headaches/fogginess/back pain but it sure will help me to be able to click on an excel spreadsheet without wincing.

ok enough pity-pot ####### from me. I'm going to my sickness board to hear about people who can't even walk. That always makes me feel grateful.

oh and i guess babymaking is out for now since i can barely take care of myself much less a baby. I wanna go home and have a good pity poopy cry for myself!

I'm sorry Bridget...that stinks so badly. Can you try another doctor? I always believe in 2nd or even 3rd opinions. Have you tried acupuncture or a chiropractor? Drugs aren't always the best solution to some things and sometimes can make people more paranoid, etc.

Happy Monday everyone! I just got done taking Badr to the dentist. 2 teeth fixed today and possibly 2 more next week. Good ol Moroccan dentists, gez.

Girl, I hope you don't have the same issue I did...hubby racked up an 823.00 dental bill! Wisdom teeth, deep root cleanings, old fillings, etc.

Maybe you should go and give my hubster a big hug from his wifey at home when you go!!! I miss that dag on man!

Tasha, how is your hubby? Is he feeling any better?

Hubster is feeling better....guess he passed his bug on to Mal before he left!

He originally went in to have a filing put in that fell out. But then after looking at xrays, there's more trouble with his teeth. One tooth was "fixed" but come to find out, there's in infection inside it. So the dentist had to reopen the crown and clean out the infection. So he's on anti-biotics now. He also has to go back next week for a root canal and to check on the infected tooth. Good thing I added him to my insurance right after we got married.

We just need to get all of this work done before we move and won't have this insurance coverage.

Awww, Bridget, positive vibes coming your way :star:

re: dentist. The husband had to have something quite expensive done to his teeth. I mentioned this in passing to a friend who's almost done with dental school. Low and behold, she needs someone to do that procedure on for her board exams next month, and she can use the husband. And they'll pay him for his time. Alhamdulilah, rather then having to pay $$$$, we actually come out ahead.

omg staashi...down to days now?? lol

how you feelin?

is it time to go home yet??

Girl, I'm feelin' good - for the most part. Doc wants to do bloodwork on my Thyroid just to make sure it's working - but it might help to explain why I'm so darn tired lately.

Bridget - I hope you feel better soon - and whatever your definition is of better - may you find it. (F)

Annie - I'm right there with you - PC is soooo passe! My gay friend used to call me his "**-hag" - I was cool with it.

Oh and the cleanings - oooooh I got my teeth cleaned 3 weeks ago - loved it!!! Plus I now have two dental insurances...I'm signing up for 4 free cleanings a year. My only problem is I'm suffering from gestational gingivitis - can you believe it??? It's like I take a toothbrush to my teeth and they start to bleed as soon as they see it coming. The dr says it will clear up as soon as the baby's born.
