We woke up to snow this morning in the suburbs of Philly. The storm was wide spread... I hope it didn't get up as far as Vermont. They all need to be at work today !!!

So did we...15 cms and counting ...It was a slow drive to work

Spoke to my hubby for about 3 minutes last night. He gave me a number to call him back but the public phone doesn't accept international calls. WOW, I was PISSED !!

Glad to know hubby got in touch with and was doing ok...

Come on VSC... we need approvals. Throw us a bone at the very least.

if you click the IMMIGRATION TIMELINE at the top of this site it says the K-3's being processed are JUNE23rd

June 23rd is my NOA1 date for my I-130

All I want to do is be with my husband.

Silly me for thinking the Government would be helpful.

I was just talking with a guy here at work.... We were talking about all the illegal people that are living comfortably here with all the perks. I am trying to do things the right way. We are following all the rules. I struggle to pay my bills, take care of my family and just get by day by day without my husband. Why is it such a hassle to do things the legal way ???

My husband is a good person. We just want to be together and live our lives.

I know there is nothing wrong with the papers. I had my attorney file them. I am waiting on my expedite request... or at this point... an approval.

AWWWWWWWWW Sorry to hear that!!!! At least we have this forum to vent ... I have the day off due to the snow..yes Vermont better be open!! lol I wonder how many days they wasted around the Holidays making us wait..I remember deserately checking their websites for updated processing times bween Nov 18 and Jan 23 countless of times every single day!!! I was planning to call them today...maybe I shouldn't. My question is regarding processing times..I still don't get how come these approvals are random and what the date posted on their website actually mean (if they are processing APRIL 15 how come some people got approvals when they filed later) How does that work?? Is processing time a reference to when they actually touch and review your case or when they are completing it??

My timeline looks like this so far:

I 130 NOA1: July 18, 2008

I 129 NOA1: AUG 12, 2008

And ohhhh one more question...is the NOA1 date the receipt date of notice date? On the USCIS website they state that they are currently processing applications with RECEIPT dates of April 15, 2008.

Jen, that's probably the one that I was writing about. I thought it was a 01 (jan) but it was 10 (oct)... still, how is that fair????? And they're from the Phillipines, a high fraud country!!!!! UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I told my husband today that even if I got my approval today, I wouldn't even be happy. Seriously, even if I got it, I'm not gonna be happy after everything this system has put me through. After all the injustice I have seen. Why should I be happy getting it after waiting 9 or 10 months? When others got approved in 3 months?

I decided a long time ago never to call USCIS. I have called them a total of 4 times since I began this process. Each time was utter BS which left me feeling more angry and feeling worse than when I started. So I really don't recommend calling them. If anything, ask your lawyer to check on your expedite.

Yep, I know that calling only pisses me off even more. It is pretty amazing how scripted they are.

The lawyer does nothing but sit back and wait. I'm not that kind of person.

For all I have heard about the approvals coming threw without the system being updated... I was just looking for a glimmer of hope when I called. A scrap, a shred of a left-over..... something to go with. But NOTHING good came of it.

I need to tell my husband something good. He needs to be happy. For everything that happened to him the other day... I wanna see him smile.

And I was reading the Tico Times online (its a Costa Rican newspaper in English) . Apparently the taxi drivers are planning on going on strike next week. They are protesting the pirate taxi drivers. That means I have to carry my 2 giant suitcases and my laptop bag on a freakin' bus. Little me and all that luggage.... SH!T... if that doesn't scream "I am AMERICAN" I don't know what does. UGHHHH I don't know what happened with my life. ( I sound like my husband) The week I go to CR the place falls apart... LOL !!!!!! Ther eis that black cloud again.

The guy here at work was trying to be positive for me this morning. He kept telling me things will start to go my way.... I was almost in tears.

Just having a bad day...... I really hate not being able to call Fernando whenever I want... It is driving me crazy !

The only answer any of us has is that there is no reason at all to this process and you absolutely cannot rely on any information on the website. I know that doesn't help, but unfortunately no sense can be made out of a senseless process. They sort of go by dates, sort of by country, military gets priority, and the pace of the actual officer where your case lands. Sadly there is no magical matrix that takes into account these moving variables.

As for the Oct/Nov I-130 petitions that are being approved, I am assuming these are the guys that are the stand alone I-130's that were transferred to CSC. We are told that the K3 is the fastest way, but these guys, who knowingly chose the slower route, are coming out ahead. I don't begrudge them, but it is a slap in the face to those of us who thought we were taking the fastest route. Had I not filed the I-129F in conjunction with my I-130, there's about a 99% chance that my case would have gone to CSC and I would be doing the happy dance right now. Instead I am raw from this latest slap in the face.
