Hi,

I went to the SS office today to change my card to my married name. They said it will take 10 days til I receive the new one.

I'm just completing all of my AOS papers and suddenly thought..

Do you keep the same SSN or do they issue a new one?

I'm sure the answer is you keep the same one, but don't want to send my AOS papers off with my number on if they do change it.
