I just got some more passport photos taken at Costco yesterday. I'm almost certain that when I got my first ones for the I-130 done a few months back they asked if it was for Canada or the US. I told them US and they made them to the US specs - 2" X 2"

But the ones that they took yesterday are the Canadian size, 2" X 2 3/4". Is this going to be a problem?

I cut my own to be the correct size. They need to be the US size of passport photo (2x2).

Just get out the scissors and cut carefully. Otherwise, if you're not comfortable, I would go back to Costco and ask that they cut them.

What about the page here http://travel.state.gov/pdf/Photo%20Guide%2010-01-04.pdf . Did you make sure that you followed these exact guidelines? I just want to be super picky if thats how they're going to be when they get them, thanks

Not really. I just took the ones that I was given from Shoppers and trimmed the edges so that they were even. They certainly weren't exact, but I guess they were close enough because they were not sent back as an RFE or anything.

I just trimmed the two sides so that my picture was 2x2. I made sure it was even on all sides and my photo was as centered as possible in the middle.

Since they allow people to take their own pictures, I would assume they're more lenient than Canada is.
