Sex On Fire is a really good song. Unfortunately the lead singer has a little drinky, drinky problem (allegedly) and they may break up (source Sirius 21/Alt Nation). His voice reminds me of Steve Winwood.

yea it's weird.. Kings of Leon are actually from Missouri, and they make great music.. Youth and Young Manhood is my favorite, but Aha Shake is also very good.. they have evolved a lot from their first cd..

I guess if you wanna hear their hard rock persona, listen to Youth and Young manhood, can't go wrong with Mollys Chamber

They're from Tennessee and Oklahoma. Same difference. Only the license plates are different.

Kings Of Leon: Definition Of A Drinking Problem

Remember when rock stars used to behave like rock stars? Now it’s always twenty-something female pop singers who vomit on themselves or leak crack smoking videotapes. It’s shameful, really. I’ve taken to snorting cocaine off humorously benign Cds to make up for the bullshit straightedge choices many musicians have been making. Apparently, Kings Of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill agrees with me, as he’s been hardcore boozing and taking swings at his drummer and bassist. Rock on, Caleb. Rock on.

According to Music-News, the battles with the bottle have grown so bad the rest of the band, along with the record company, have brought in security guards to help curb the excesses. There have even been rumors about a possible cancellation of the band’s upcoming European Tour since the four family members are reportedly no longer speaking to one another.

Discussing his alcohol problem and the nickname Rooster bandmates have given to his blackout alter ego, Caleb said, “I hate it man, whenever the word rooster is involved, you can wake up and think life is great and have zero memory of what happened.” In all seriousness, maybe a break from alcohol might be the right call.

Here's one for ya:

Why is it that loads of Americans in their 20's and 30's are Pink Floyd fans but most of my British buddies don't know/care/like Pink Floyd?

Go listen to some free beats:

I took this picture when they were here in concert a few months ago. It's from my phone so the picture doesn't do justice to how cool the lights looked in real life.

The concert was good but KoL were total rock stars i.e. too cool for school. Lead singer Caleb had this air about him... like he was a musical genius who suffered for his art. He stopped in the middle of a song to yell at us (well not me...I was up in the balcony even though I bought tickets the day they went on sale) that he couldn't perform if people kept motioning at him. I guess some people on the main floor had some issue with the microphone volume. They got it figured out and the show went on. Some guy from the audience also jumped on stage but was quickly smashed back to the ground and removed. The guitar player had to be told to put his cigarette out by a stage hand who was politely trying not to disturb the show. He put it out but 10 min. later went to the middle of the stage (I presume to where the stage hand would not go) and lit up another one. There was a nice moment at the end where the audience was doing a background vocal to one of the songs while he sang over us. Very nice. During the encore Caleb told us we had actually turned out to be a good audience. It was a good concert and I'm glad I went but I definitely prefer youth and young manhood and Aha Heartbreak to the newer stuff.
