I am sure this has been covered before somewhere but I can not find anything on it. Once you bring your wife to the USA what is the next thing that must be done? Any forms to fill out so she can be permanent resident? Green Card? Is there a certain amount of time before we can go back to visit the Philippines? Any information or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i believe whats cool about your cr1 is that once you enter you're POE (immigration stuff like finger scanning and welcome to the US etc), after two weeks more or less of your arrival they will send your GC (good for 2 yrs or 10 yrs for some) and SNN on the mail! thats the advantage of the cr1 that i know of... and you can go back to phil anytime pertaining you have the GC in hand  and or advance parole for some!

edit to add: while k1 and k3 on the other hand will have to file for AOS to get the permanent resident card/GC... i was on k1 so we fill up some papers and send it to the uscis to process my residency which took 4 months for me to get my GC

If she is a CR1 VISA..she just need to receive her greencard and get a SSN. She can leave anytime once she have the greencard on hand, provided that she will not stay in the Philippines for more than 11 months.

She have to adjust her conditional status if she is a CR1, 90 days before the date of expiry.

Thanks for the information but have another question for you, She is CR1 and what is the expiry of conditional status? Is that a two year time period?

the conditional status that we talked about is her GC per se where most of us get 2 yrs of residency (seldom got 10 yr right away)... 3 months before the expiration date of our GC, we need to file for lifting of condition, and that will give us 10 yr of residency after the uscis process and approves our paper... she can also file for naturalization (citizenship) after staying here in the US legally for 3 yrs...

Hi, if you were married not more than 2 years, they will issue her a Conditional Greencard which mean this is valid for 2 years, she have to lift up condition 90 days before expiry...

butif you were married more than 2 years or you were married for 2 years, they will issue your wife a PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD valid for 10 years.

I hope this clear your confusion.
