I am as romantic as a sock, so I don't care much for Valentines day. But I enjoy buying gifts, so of course cannot miss out on that opportunity. But no polyester "silk" boxershort with kisses and hearts on it.

Also no cards. Not for Christmas, not for birfdays, not for Easter, Mother's Day, St. Patrick's day or any other day really.

no cards, not even this valentine's day classic?

Can't see pics at work :(

I forgot to mention that Pedro of course gets a card and a gift. :luv:

Just no cards for all my friends, like some do.

probably a good thing you can't see that pic :hehe:

We wont be together this Valentines Day anyway, he is going home for a visit.

Dang cards are five bucks a piece now and takes hours to find one that isn't totally stupid. Should be a good day to consummate our marriage, said on our marriage certificate, not valid until consummated, can't remember if we did that or not.

Someone should do a poll/study that shows the falloff of Valentine's Day for couples who've been married for awhile. It seems to be a holiday for romantic fools, which everyone of us has been at some point in our relationship.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

ready for what?

Ohh yeah that day that you are supposed to and people expect you to be happy and all lovey dovey with your significant other/co-workers/family/neighbor etc just because is the norm?

NA

I poop on Valentine's, damn consumerism. I can buy roses and a card to my wife the other 364 days of the year, not just on 2/14, oh and I forgot when businesses don't jack up the prices as well.

P.S. and for the ladies, ask you man to give you presents on a different day, it'll be cheaper for both of you...if you really care about how much money he spends, if not, let the sucker pay and follow this stupid norm.

Sure.

I've actually come to like Valentine's Day. The husband and I drink heavily and exchange cheap (under $20) gifts.

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
