Hello guys, my fiance just called me and told me that he got the letter of approval for our K1 Visa! Yeay!

I've been reading a lot of posts here but this is the first time I'm writing here.

Now, I just have a question. Is it ok to set a date now? It's Jan 24 now and we're thinking of June 27, 2009 for our wedding. Do you think that's possible?

I know there's still the interview and medical and all. I'm pretty healthy and law abiding citizen. :)

I'm just concerned coz everything requires a deposit and all are non-refundable. I just don't want to lose money.

Thanks a lot for your help. You guys are awesome! :D

Congratulations!!!

As for the wedding date, it seems to me you've left yourself with plenty of time.

Good luck and all the best. (F)

Congratulations, I think having a wedding in June is just fine. From here your NOA2 moves to NVC where it should only spend a maximum of two weeks. Call them to get you new case number. And then to the embassy in her country. I really think that the long waits are over from here is just sailing. Your wedding in June should not be a problem.

2005- Introduced thru relatives

2006-2008- Talked on the phone and emails

2008 June 1- Went to Tashkent to meet her. Stayed in Tashkent from June 1 to July 27 2008.

2008 August 16 - Went back to Tashkent to stay with my fiancee. I stayed with her from August 18th to November 23. The best 4 months of my life.

2008 November -25 Came back to States. I miss my sweetheart.

Thank you! I'm so happy and excited.

I understand that now I have to wait to receive a packet from the Vancouver Consulate, is that right?

How do I know that NVC receive my case and that the Vancouver Consulate receive my case?

you can call nvc in about 1 week.

their phone number is 603 334-0700 and in the menu press 1 then 5 to speak to live person. you have to speak to live person because k-1 are not in the automated system.
