First, thanks for all the replies if there are any.

Me and my fiance from Vietnam finally got our approval after 2 and half years of calling and bugging them!.. I got the approval on November 2008, letter was dated October 2008 and it say we got approve and my fiance will recieve the approval package and they will send me a notice when they have sent everything to Vietnam. She recieved everything in Decemeber 2009 and she even got an interview on Jan. 16, 2009!

BUT I didn't get anything from USCIS! They didn't inform me of anything and I have not recieved anything from them since. Then when my fiance went to the interview she DIDN'T get approved! because we were missing paper work and they want more evidence!! So they told her to submit the required documents

I made a mistake when writting my sworn document about how i met my fiance and the process, when I went to Vietnam it was on 1/27 I just wrote around Feburary. I couldn't remember the exact date my attorney was helping me with this letter too and he said it was ok, as long as it close. I should of looked at my plane ticket!!

They gave her a letter asking for more evidence and for me to rewrite my statement and also an employer letter and a list of her relatives in the US (?) Am I suppose to find all her relatives that live here? But SHE told me that I am missing my taxes, bankstatement, but the letter didn't say anything like that. She has an attorney over there as well. ON the day of the interview her attorney was tell me that I am missing my 2008 taxes and I should fax it over, but I haven't even received my W2 yet.

I am really confused, I keep reading about the afidvate of support, bankstatement, people recieving packages from USCIS, employment letter, what am I suppose to be getting? I haven't recieved anything from USCIS telling me anything. whats the NOA people are talking about? I am planning on going back to Vietnam within the next month and bring everything we are missing and all the evidence til this date, but I do not want to go over there and I am still missing paper work and travel again. Times are getting tough and I can't take off more time from work or I might even lose my job.

We were so excited and after the interview and now it has been hell.. her family has been blaming me for not sending her everything, but I thought I did! I updated all evidence to the current. She told me during the interview they were picking on her why I wrote the wrong date when I came and I think she freaked out and couldn't answer. Any advice please, sorry for the long essay.

NOA = Notice Of Approval letter. You mentioned that you got your NOA letter on October 2008. In this letter, there are instructions on what to do next and typically it points you to a website where you'll find more information on what forms to fill out and the proper procedures in prelude to the interview.

I suggest not to go to Vietnam since you being there will not really do anything to speed things up. Go to the FAQ here in the necessary things to collect for the interview, better yet, your fiancee should be aware of what else is needed.

Placing blame, pointing finger is worthless and counter productive at this point. Water under the bridge...spilt milk. Find out what else is needed. Get them, and move on forward. From what you wrote, your fiancee just needs to submit the missing paperwork, and it's all good. Good luck to you :)

Thanks for clearing that up.. I will go home and take another look on that NOA I got.. I was planning to go back to Vietnam and get extra evidence, like take some more pictures, take some pictures with her and my family members over there, showing them that I am serious. Would this be benifitical? They are just requesting for more evidence. Because she already went through the interview. Before learning about all this process of having better proof we spent most of our time video chatting and chatting online.. stupid me I didn't keep records until recently when I found out I should be logging this. We have a ton of pictures though and thought I should go and take somemore. I was planning on going back last year December to visit when my paperwork was pending still, but when I got the notice I pushed it back so I can accompnay my fiance over here.

Some other types of proof can be

If you have the chat logs, print them out

Greeting cards - birthdays, valentines or just saying I miss you type

Emails or snail mail letters

Do you send her money on any type of timeframe like monthly? Attach your credit card statements showing this or any other evidence supporting this.

You mentioned you have tons of photos with her, just print them out and send them to her.
