After getting the CRIS email saying card production was ordered, I got a letter from the Detroit USCIS office ( I am in Michigan)with a decision date a week earlier than the CSC date ( 1/15/09 instead of 1/21/09).

Would that indicate that CSC is farming out cases to local offices and only centrally doing the notification?

Hi,

I am in Michigan as well. Would you mind tell me about your experience with the Detroit office? I am waiting for my naturalization interview.

Are they fast and efficient? What is your opinion?

My only complaint is the distance. I am in Upper Michigan and it is a 7 hour drive to Detroit!. Apart from that I found them friendly and helpful during the biometrics (mine were done in Grand Rapids)
